Description
Description
More rigidity, less weight, and better aerodynamics compared to the standard Q-Rings, while offering you the same benefits when it comes to the efficiency of your pedal stroke. The Rotor Q-ring Carbon chainrings are an upgrade for any bike, both technically and optically. Various scientific studies have proven the positive effect of the Rotor Q-Rings, but perhaps an even greater proof of their benefits is the sheer amount of pro-victories realised with the Q-Rings. The Rotor Q-Ring outer chainring is made of carbon, while the matching inner chainring is made from CNC machined aluminium.

More Q-uality from RotoR
Q-Rings have always looked after my not so good knees, and you can read all about the benefits on their website. But the quality of workmanship that goes into all their products is incredible. Machined beautifully, perfectly laid carbon, just exceptionally well made and presented.

Detailed product description
The idea behind the Rotor Q-Ring is simple: any pedalstroke has a “dead zone” at the most vertical position of the cranks. At this point, it is simply impossible to transfer your power to the pedal, making this the point during the stroke a rider wants to get through quickly. Rotor Q-Rings have less teeth on the chainring at this point, making it move past the dead zone faster than a usual round ring. Following this, the chainring offers a longer stroke optimising the length of your pedal stroke. This will theoretically help you get across the dead zone faster, resulting in higher efficiency when entering the optimal drive zone. This makes the entire pedal stroke more effective as a whole, leading to lower amounts of lactic acid being produced and staving off fatigue. The technology underlying Rotor’s Q-Rings is based upon maximising efficiency. Rotor believes her products aren’t necessarily “faster”, but rather optimise your pedal stroke, leaving you with more energy for longer to ultimately lead to a faster time in your event.
