The brake disc is just doing its job, braking. Just take the time to brake it in, then it just works a bit better. Just follow the description in Mantel's blog here on the site. This brake disc does not come with a lock ring, and neither do my new wheels, so I had to order those separately. Scored some nice red ones, also through Mantel.

Of the first pair I ordered, one was so crooked that I sent it back. Even the better of the two was also not perfectly straight, meanwhile a third one arrived with the same problem. After a few rides, the one on the rear wheel is more likely to warp a bit. They look tight but really not recommended. Also because after a dirty/wet ride it is hard to clean between the metal.

Perfect: low weight and suitable for metal pads. Price is just right. I like the simple design.

Great price for an essential bit of stopping equipment. So far they have been good in all weather's. I will buy more when required.
