As expected, it clicked immediately!

Shimano XT pedal is in the better quality segment, and you notice it in everything. Finish is all over the place. Smooth engagement and disengagement of the shoes. Spring tension for click-out is easy to adjust.

Great for mountain biking. Surface large enough (not too small, that is) to support whole foot and clicks in and out easily after desired adjustment.

I ride both mountain bikes and road bikes and actually always on SPD (simple system and always reliable). When buying a new road bike, this seemed like a good alternative (slightly wider platform and therefore perhaps more comfort) No regrets, works perfectly and I can use my mtb shoes on which I can at least walk reasonably normally (in case of e.g. breakdown) . Might go ahead and fit them to my mountain bike too.

Previously I had the small spd pedals, but with longer distances >80km needed more pressure distribution. These pedals are very comfortable and provide better pressure distribution, less tiring.

Pedals you click into quickly. I have not yet experienced sitting with my foot wrong before clicking in which I sometimes had with my old pedals. During an emergency stop, you also quickly click out. Furthermore, I feel that all my power is transferred well while climbing. I use these pedals on my mtb

These are an upgrade from the XC style XT pedals. They work exactly the same but have an added degree of comfort. They also feel as if the cages support my shoes to allow a more efficient power transfer. Occasionally I feel as if I would prefer a few pins to support my shoe even more but I know that woyld hinder disengagment so it's a good compromise for my riding style. Shimano pedals really are the best for reliability that I have ever used so I don't see these being different.

Bought for a gravel bike to use with MTB shoes. They are easy to clip into and are very comfortable to use - what's not to like?

After starting to have trouble with my feet on the pure spd pedals, I bought these in the hope of getting iether support when standing on the bike. This has worked with the added benefit that you can also apply more power during steep climbs.
