Northwave Core Plus 2

In my old Shimano racing shoes I often got trouble on longer tours because my feet are a bit wider, this problem has been solved with Northwave. They are fine and so far I feel I am much better in my shoes. I also have Northwave for my mountain bike and it is a breath of fresh air! Very good and nice shoe.

A lot more suitable for somewhat wider feet compared to similar shimano shoes, which are very narrow. The closure system closes so well that the Velcro hardly adds any value. Also, while cycling, you can easily tighten the fastening system by one notch. Something you can't do with comparable shoes with boa closure.

The shoes fit like a glove and fit perfectly on the foot due to the cord and button, which is attached high on the shoe. A top-notch product at a fair price!

Really wanted the Shimano RC500, but even the Wide fit was still too narrow. This Northwave is wider. Also, I like the closure better because it closes higher on the instep while the Shimano (which fits well) tightens lower on the instep. Personal preference. The lower closure (Velcro) doesn't even seem to be necessary. The twist closure is very nice because it is easy to loosen 1 or more taps while riding. In addition, it is easy (once you get the hang of it) to loosen in 1x in its entirety.

I found my wide-toed Shimano shoes ran too pointy for my feet, this caused complaints. Northwaves also fall wide, so was able to keep my current size on. Upon unpacking, I noticed right away that these shoes feel very sturdy, which I like. The twist closure is quite high, so you can't push your toes into the tip either. Cycled 100 km with them now, I think I'll stick with this brand for now.

About the Northwave Core Plus 2 shoes, bought them from you guys after a pleasant conversation over the phone. Shoes fit great, the best so far. Mainly because of the width of the shoe, I can finally move my feet. Turned out the previous shoes were all too narrow.

The shoe is very light and it seals perfectly. There's no wiggle when lifting the foot but at the same time nothing feels to tight or constraining. The one click loosening has proven really nice, since the foot expands a bit after your warm up you can loosen the shoe without the whole thing coming of, or running the risk of loosening too much. This can be done just with one click as you are riding. The base layer under the inner sole had glue that leaked and was covering some of the vents. It was also more dfificult than there youtube video shows, to access the spd plate area in order to replace that plate.

I have worn them 4 rides now and am very satisfied. They are my first cycling shoes. I like the fit of them and it bikes very nicely. Only when you are just cycling away can the tongue sometimes cut a little lightly in your instep, but when you are at pace you don't feel them anymore and they are great.

Different brands/models tried. Northwave seems to fall just a bit wider, perfect for me. With the SLW twist closure, they fit well and are very easy to tighten/loosen in small steps. Also a good stiff sole, sufficient ventilation and very nicely finished. Top product

The shoe is very wide, making it a good fit for flat feet like me (Size 47). The button for fastening the shoe works effectively and the shoe is nice and sturdy. If you buy this shoe for its ability to accommodate SPD cleats, look further....

Great shoe at a good price. The closing mechanism is very nice. You can make the shoes just tight enough. Stretching the shoes is also very easy (little hassle) due to the closure mechanism.
