Assegai front tyre. The best tyre currently available. A real all-rounder with MaxxTerra

- Bernd, 14 March, 2024

I ride all-mountain with a strong affinity for trail riding. It's difficult to find the right tyre. Tried many tyres. I've had many pairs of tyres with too many disadvantages. But I've finally found the solution. Schwalbixxs: Assegeai with 3C MaxxTerra and light EXO carcass at the front and Schwalbe Nobby Nic Super Trail Snake Skin at the rear. This makes for good progress uphill or on the road and a safe and controlled descent on the trail. Extreme pairing but it works.

Extra confidence costs a few grams.

- Hayo, 31 August, 2022

I can only agree with the product description. Riding uphill like a tank - in terms of grip and weight. Purchased together with 30 mm wheelset in attempt to ride easy and medium trails in Switzerland with XC-bike. This has worked out quite well the past few days. Sur-place on 15% descent if you want to get your bearings? Matter of your balance, these tires don't slide anywhere. They really just fit on Scott Scale frame; millimeter work.

Pros & Cons

Control
Super grip up and down
Heavier
Pebbles or branches sometimes get stuck

Perfect tyre, perfect price and fast delivery!

- sean, 16 July, 2022

This is my second Assegai but this time with a front mount and I'm completely satisfied. Rear-mounted, the Assegai didn't roll very well, but front-mounted, it rolls really well and grips much better than my old DHF.

Pros & Cons

Braking behaviour
Lateral handling

Get some

- Andrew, 15 December, 2021

Never used these before but some pals are using them so gave them a go. First time out was BPW and they were excellent. Other that a few polished wet roots, these tyres stuck to the terrain like glue.

Pros & Cons

Good rolling
Not too heavy
Super grippy
