Very pleased, does not disappoint

Fast delivery and the helmet is not heavy to wear after 4 hours of cycling. A great buy. The strap is a bit stiff at first.

Kask Protone I already have one but I bought it again same model another colour matt black which for me is the top I highly recommend it if you want a top helmet

A professional quality helmet that not only does the job, but can be easily adjusted for a perfect fit and is aerodynamic with great ventilation. Good looks are the cherry on the cake, with great colour options. My Black/Red combo complements my bike and kit perfectly. Not cheap, but quality rarely is. Mantel’s discount helped the decision to click the ‘add to basket’ button. No regrets!

I bought this as an upgrade to my Specialized Echelon II helmet and unfortunately feel disappointed. On the plus side it is very light, the Medium coming in at the weight advertised. It also has a good profile and looks good on. However, on the negative side I find it much warmer than the Specialized and the venting at the front is nowhere near as good at diverting sweat away from your eyes. In fact, seems to do the opposite. I've also had a problem with the padded inserts where the velcro tape has come away from the helmet when trying to remove the pads which is poor. It is a comfortable helmet when you get the adjustments right but the leather strap is too stiff in my opinion coming from a very flexible fabric strap. Unfortunately I'll probably be looking for a different helmet for warmer weather rides. Shame, as it does look good!

The helmet is very lightweight and sits fairly comfortable. However the adjustable unit at the back does not exactly fit my head shape and creates two pinch points, also making it awkward to put on. The Matt black finish is stunning. The v straps at the ears are not adjustable but this does not affect me. The leather chin strap is great but takes time to get used to. I bought this helmet to get a smaller profile as I have a large head, it sits taller on my head and narrower at the sides compared to my cheaper Standard helmet. The air does flow through the vents very well keeping me cool in the warm weather and I would say that this is its best feature. Mantel had the best price on the web for this helmet. Item was carefully packaged and delivered quickly.

I can’t really fault this design. The helmet is light, comfortable, sleek and attractive - and I’ve had no problem with it at all after several hundred miles. Would like to try the Medium, but I chose the Large, being on the cusp at 59 cm, which is probably sensible. I’m wearing it at the tightest setting as a result, but it fits just fine. The smaller one may look better, but even the Large has a very low profile. Very happy with it.

This helmet manages to combine aerodynamics with breathability, together with a very customisable fit. From the few rides I've done with the Kask Protone thus far, I definitely notice less drag than with my previous c.£50 Bell model. Personally, the aesthetics of the protone in matt black are the best of any helmet I've seen and the price and service from Mantel was second to none. Very pleased with my purchase. Don't hesitate and purchase!

Upgraded from the Mojito, this is in another league. I now get very little sweat running down my glasses, the odd droplet as opposed to the flood I was used to, also the nifty retention feature for the glasses means they no longer move. Supremely comfortable and very light. 100% happy

Bought to replace an S-works Prevail written off in a crash. Tiny bit heavier and tiny bit less ventilated but better quality construction and a great fit on me in the same size as the Prevail. More aero? Absolutely no idea. Pleased with the purchase.

Looks, good, feels very comfortable, it seems to be slightly less noisy than the Mojito and I’m very happy. Can’t fault Mantel, they dispatched it almost immediately.

The Protone is a nice looking, lightweight helmet. I’m a 59cm head size and I ordered the medium initially and although it just about fit it was a little snug on the forehead. No room to wear a cap underneath. Returned for a large and the fit is perfect. The large obviously looks bigger than the medium but not a huge mushroom. Looks pro in white with white Jawbreakers. Great helmet. Best price online from Mantel.

About as good an all round helmet as you can buy. Well built, very lightweight, aero, looks great, available in various colours. Mantel were the cheapest online by far at the time, would highly recommend.

I had the Rapido helmet before, which I liked a lot. Protone has much better ventilation, and is apparently (didn't measure it) more aero. Fit is better too, with more adjustment and better contact points.

The fitting system of the Kask helmets seems to hug the head perfectly without any pressure points and is comfortable all day. Lots of vents to keep you cool and it looks great too ! The only thing I don't like is the fake leather chin strap....something lighter and more supply would be better.

The Protone is a great bit of essential kit. Have had a few different helmets (Synthe / S Works) and in my opinion this is the best looking and most comfortable to date. Loving the stealth looks and leather chin strap. Adjustable liner works really well and all important sunglasses storage slots don't let you down. Was not thinking about a new helmet but with the TOUR Deals it was too good a deal to be missed!

Coming from a Giro mid range helmet the Protone feels very very comfortable on the head.

The Kask Protone is a first class helmet that gives great ventilation,is lightweight,has a wonderful strap system that always looks neat and tidy and the styling is outstanding.I have the Nero Mat/Rosso colourway which looks superb,understated yet distinctive.This is my second Protone and I can’t recommend the helmet enough,it’s simply superb! The helmet itself is great, it fits your head very well and is dry adjustable. It has the best dial of any helmet I've used. The only downside is the leather strap. It's not supple enough for one and it's also way too long. I don't want to cut it to size as it kinda ruins resale if I decide to get rid. I've had to tap it our if the way or it just looks rubbish and flaps about taking away the aero advantage the helmet is purported to give. A little disappointing and the only thing that stopped me rating this a 10.

This helmet is light, supremely comfortable, looks stylish and is even aero. The adjustment dial and cradle make it easy to get a secure and comfortable fit. It's hard to fault. Not a full 10, but only because of the price, which is a significant investment.

Great adjustment and fit, plus the matte looks cool! I came from crashing a specialized prevail in medium which should be the same size in cm, but the kask is much smaller.

Previously had a Kask Vertigo and that was great but the Protone is even better. The rear adjustment is particularly good and well thought out. More aero? don't have a wind tunnel but certainly feels like it is!

Perfect helmet for long hair, as the thing at the back where we girls put our hair trough is adjustable. The helmet is really light,you don't even notice that you are wearing one. Although I really like the helmet, I think that it is pretty expensive!

Purchased a medium which was fractionally too small and then the large is huge - think Mario Cart mushroom head. Build, durability and weight all brilliant.

Usually I am a Large in most helmets but with the Kask I fitted the Medium thanks to the clever adjustment system. The straps and clips are great quality and the helmet fits over and around the head as opposed to just feeling as though it is perched on top.
