Good for its money

- Els, 26 March, 2023

Less stable than my old tacx booster rollers. Quieter and more compact though. The resistance and feel of cycling are better. If you don't use anything from Zwift and the like, Elite's basic app is poor.

Pros & Cons

Easy to install
Stability is really less

Does more or his thing.

- Yannick, 2 December, 2022

Long hesitated with a Wahoo but the deciding factor was the convenient storage of the device. It's quiet. I cycle while the kids are sleeping. They are not bothered by it. No cons for now, except for the much sweat I have already lost. But you have that on all indoor trainers.

Pros & Cons

Concentrated in a snap with Zwift
Easy and quick to drive
Not too big to store

Satisfied and easy to understand

- Katja, 20 January, 2022

I have the Elite Suito T now 2 weeks and use RGT and Zwift and I have so far nothing to criticize. It runs quietly except of course at extremely high speed which is completely normal. What I do not find already that is advertised with free zwift software, which is not the case. Also that the Elite App requires a subscription for many things I find rather inappropriate because you just bought an original Elite trainer. I myself have put me still for precautionary insulation mats.

Pros & Cons

Firm stand and pleasant in volume
Good Bluetooth connection
Elite app only properly usable with subscription
Zwift free for months is not right

Quiet, high-quality trainer, quick to learn

- Gaëtan, 12 January, 2022

Overall, a good, well-finished product. Easy to move with the handle and retractable feet once assembled. Not so easy to install the first time. You need a lockring tool and a hex wrench to fit the cassette, the rest can be done by hand. Of course, you'll need a cassette compatible with your bike. Installing the chain and securing the bike is difficult to do on your own, but once everything's fixed in place, it's very sturdy! Very quiet trainer (regular noise much lower than a modern dishwasher). Bluetooth connection to a 2016 laptop and a newer one was instantaneous. Élite provides coupons for free trials on 5 platforms (Zwift, RGT, Rouvy, Bloom Kinomap). Unfortunate detail: you need the serial number of your device, which is located under your feet, i.e. facing the ground. So take note before installing the bike! The MyElite application (which I'm no longer sure offers premium access) is still pretty poor. It's the first trainer I've used, so I can't really comment on the realism of rolling and transitions. I've been using RGT Cycling so far and it's great fun to let off steam. Real-time Watts tracking seems a bit noisy (rather abrupt transitions for relatively constant effort) but I have no point of comparison and I don't have the pedal-stroke regularity of a professional.

Pros & Cons

noise level
stability

For this price a top smarttrainer.

- Jonas, 8 October, 2021

After a month in possession and 300km later here is my review; The smarttrainer was delivered 1 day after ordering (top!), so I unpacked it and tested it. There is no standard cassette included so you have to buy that yourself along with a chain whip and cassette remover (will cost you about 50eur if you don't go for shimano or sram). There are spacers included if you ride with a 10 speed or less. Standard 11 speed fits on this. The trainer itself has ant+ and bluetooth and pairs easily with training apps. I usually use my garmin bike computer. If you register the trainer online you get codes for zwift and the like. You can also use the elite app (myetraining) for 1 year for free and with this you can do workouts or just increase and decrease the resistance (-15% to 15%). Personally I don't think the app is super but it does what it should. The trainer is fairly quiet and quite heavy (makes it nice and stable though), although a mat is recommended for the vibrations. All in all happy with the purchase and the price on mantle is the best I could find online!

Compact, simple, robust

- Luca, 18 February, 2021

Purchased after trying the Shift 2 months: compared to the latter, the Suito is much more compact, manageable, and externally pleasing! Perhaps the pedaling is "less rounded" as some purists claim, but the advantage of having active resistance (simulating climbs) is really valuable. On "bumpy" trails with lots of ups and downs, you will feel like you are pedaling "live," forced to use the gearbox as in reality! Moreover, while it requires a power outlet to operate (inconvenient for some locations), it has on the other hand the advantage that the internal ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors work all the time, without having to change a battery every few hours of operation. The packaging is also significantly smaller than the Shift (about 1/3, being also very thin, about 15 cm). This is not insignificant considering that such a product spends about 8 months packed, being used only in the winter "bad season"!

Pros & Cons

compact
elegant
realistic pedaling
cost
needs 220V

Reasonable priced smart trainer

- James, 18 February, 2021

This is a reasonable priced smart trainer, easily set up and can be operational within minutes of taking out of box. Combined with any of the popular cycling apps at present it works and set sup quickly. Operates quietly. The only downside is that I find it not the most stable of smart trainers, there is some flex when cycling particularly when increasing the tempo or power. Overall its an excellent product.

Pros & Cons

Cost
Easy to connect to cycling apps
Quite
Simple set up
Front wheel rest included is just reasonable
No Cassette
Not the most stable when under high cadence/power

- Graeme, 13 October, 2020

Perfect for what I wanted. A very solid piece of kit although prone to more than the odd squeak! Easy to set up and use, links to Zwift quickly every time. A little in the pricey side but I have nothing to reference this against.

Reasonable Smart Trainer for the price.

- Richard, 12 January, 2020

You can go wrong with the price. The trainer was easy to set up but you have to be careful when changing cassettes as the cassette freehub nut can be loose. Done quite a few sessions and the trainer does get noisy. The reason I bought this was an upgrade to my Elite muin that did not have the resistance, it's not so much as an upgrade though, if the muin had resistance I would still use the muin, as it seems tougher and less noisy, but the muin is not portable.. That saying the Suito is a reasonable bit of kit and so far these are minor complaints. If your looking for a portable smart trainer, this is a reasonable buy.

Pros & Cons

Easy to setup
Has the resistance

Good Smart Trainer

- Richard, 3 January, 2020

Bought this Elite Smart trainer on impulse as an upgrade to my Elite Muir which although very good did not have the resistance. Setting up was a bit of an issue for me as my bike had a 10 spd cassette. So remove the supplied 11spd and replace with the 10. Firstly I found the cassette freewheel nut had disappeared, later to be found in the removal tool as the nut was loose. Then the derailleur needed to be adjusted as the 10 spd cassette did not sit properly even with the supplied cassette washers. Eventually I gave up and re-installed the 11 spd cassette and used my other bike which luckily happens to be 11spd. After that the experience has been good, the resistance, (the original reason why I bought the Suito,) is very good and you can really feel those climbs! Apart from the set up, once you get everything working it's a good smart trainer especially for the price.

Pros & Cons
