Neat bicycle lock.

- Sjoerd, 17 January, 2023

Very neat bicycle lock. Minus point is that there are no bolts included. So you cannot mount the lock directly on your bike!

Great lock, but not for all AXA push-in chains.

- Rene, 12 October, 2022

When I bought it, I read that this lock was suitable for a plug-in chain. My AXA plug-in chain just doesn't fit. There are two sizes of plug-in chains. Now I have to buy another plug-in chain. Too bad.

Pros & Cons

Robust
Wide lock for MTB
My AXA mortise lock does not fit.

happy with purchase. Fast delivery too.

- Jed, 26 September, 2022

No regrets. I wonder why these aren't fitted on everyone's bike

Pros & Cons

Always on bike
Chain means cafe stops are actually secure
Light, easy to wrap chain around frame
Likes the chain / wheel lock combo
Unobtrusive
Not a fan of (any) logos (these are not too bad)

Solid lock but read my review carefully!

- Robbert, 15 June, 2022

It's a solid lock and it's that I'm pretty technical myself. But those cover caps went back on very hard. Also a pity there were no simple stainless steel fasteners. Should have been €2 more for that lock for me.

Pros & Cons

Good lock
Solid
Cover comes off and on very annoyingly
No fastening material
No flip-key
No manual for left-handed people

Practical, fast and reliable when you only have to lock the bike and not connect it.

- Ramontix, 30 May, 2022

I have been using AXA frame locks on several bikes for years (Defender, Victoria, XXL Block). I just find them super practical. The keys are not removable in the standard version, but I like that too. I attach the keys to the key ring with a carabiner so that I can detach them with one grip. If I forget whether I have locked the bike, one look at the key ring is enough - if the key is there, the bike is locked. Locking the bike is super quick and is especially practical during the day in the city. However, you can only lock the bike securely to an object with an additional plug-in chain, which I would strongly recommend at night. This is similarly awkward as with a normal bicycle lock. The "XXL Block" lock also only works with the 130cm plug-in chain, which is tapered at the socket for the plug-in pin. The sleeve of the 100 cm plug-in chain is cylindrical and abuts the outside of the housing, which is why the pin does not penetrate deep enough to engage.

Pros & Cons

Comfortable
Practical
Reliable
Not all AXA plug-in chains fit

Smooth, strong and easy to use.

- Fábio, 4 March, 2022

Works well, easy to install and looks nice because it has a cover for the mounting screws. It has a very smooth action and it feels secure l.

Pros & Cons

Nice size for larger wheels
Smooth action
The screw cover is a nice touch
A little weighty , due to size

- Dieter, 11 January, 2022

Used on a Cube Travel with thick tyres and mudguards. Had to remove the wheel for it, though.

Pros & Cons

A good cafe lock.

- Rod, 26 July, 2021

Fitted to my Cube Kathmandu with screws (not provided) into the capture nuts on the seat stays. Took a bit of figuring out how to remove and replace the plastic covers over the fixings. Very convenient in use especially with the chain. You can't lose the key.

Pros & Cons

Easy to use
No fitting instructions

Worthless

- Laura, 30 October, 2020

Lock doesn't work, won't lock. Bit of a shame because that is exactly the only thing a lock should be able to do! After 5 uses, the plastic button fell off.

Pros & Cons

Bike can still be stolen
