According to the product specialist

Pros
The Crankbrothers Candy 1 pedals are relatively lightweight.
You can click in from four sides, so it is quite difficult to miss!
You get a large support surface on these pedals.
You can choose the colour that best suits your bike.
These wide pedals ensure good power transfer.
With their large contact area these pedals provide great stability.
These pedals have a good price/quality ratio.
Engage from 4 sides, meaning you'll never miss your pedal again.
The large openings ensure mud won't stick to your pedal.
Thanks to the premium bearings and double seal, these pedals cycle smoothly, even in bad weather conditions!
These Double Shot 1 pedals can be used with clipless as well as regular shoes.
Cons
The bearings are worse and less durable than the Candy 2 and 3 pedals
As you can clip in on both sides, these pedals are not ideal for cycling with normal shoes.
Require regular maintenance. Replacing the bearings is easy enough to do yourself with the Crankbrothers Service Kit.
The body tends to dig into carbon soles. Use Shoe Shields to prevent this from happening.
Although the pedals are water- and mud-resistant, the composite body makes them less suitable for the rougher mountain bike trails.
Please note: Only to be used with Crankbrothers cleats.
