The Quick-Lock system is an automatic locking and unlocking system for attaching your panniers to the carrier. However, this hook system is less friendly to your pannier rack. With the scratch protectors, your pannier rack is protected against scratches and damages due to the Quick-Lock system.
The Ortlieb Pannier Rack Scratch Protector can be mounted in the rail of the Quick-Lock system. As a result, the Quick-Lock system no longer rests on your pannier rack, but on the scratch protectors.
