Description

Description

The Maxxis Ikon 3C EXO Tubeless Ready SkinWall mtb tyres get the most out of a tubeless tyre. This version of the Maxxis Ikon bicycle tyres is very resistant to cuts and extremely wear-resistant on the sidewalls of the tyre. Despite the protection, the Maxxis Ikon 3C EXO Tubeless Ready SkinWall remains very flexible, so the tyre loses almost nothing in rolling resistance and grip. The chance of punctures with these tyres is extremely small and if they do happen, the latex you need to add easily fills any puncture.

Technology

3C Triple Compound Mountain
Maxxis 3C Triple compound mountain-technology uses a harder, more durable base layer and two softer top layers to optimise traction and stability. Maxxis offers 3 different types in the 3C Triple Compound mountain-technology: Maxx Speed, Maxx Terra, and Maxx Grip.

EXO Protection
Material that is cut-resistant and extremely durable added to the sidewalls. This densely woven fabric is lightweight and highly flexible, so the performance standard is unaffected. Choose EXO tyres for rocky, treacherous trails where the chance of sidewall cuts and abrasions is high.

Tubeless Ready
Tubeless tyres provide you with a number of advantages: you can run them at a lower tyre pressure, which improves grip and traction, lower rolling resistance compared to a clincher tyre, and a lower chance of punctures because of snake bites. Maxxis Tubeless Ready (TR) tyres have the advantages of a UST tubeless tyres but without a penalty to weight.

Great purchase

- Grant 1 May 2020

Perfect summer tyres for fast rolling xc mountain biking. They look great and are fast rolling as described by Maxxis. Removed my winter Maxxis High Roller II and Maxxis Ardent for these narrower sleeker tyres. I went for the Skinwall version and have not been dissapointed as the make my bike look awesome... Can't see me using a different brand any time soon.
