The Aksium Disc wheelset is Mavic's entry-level model. With these road bike wheels, Mavic focuses mainly on durability and versatility. The Aksium Disc wheels can take a beating and have an unparalleled price-quality ratio. The wheels have 24 straight-pull spokes that are very strong and stiff. The QRM bearings have a 2RS double seal which ensures that dirt and water do not affect the bearings. This certainly benefits the life of the wheels, keeping them spinning for much longer. The 17 mm wide rim can accommodate 25 to 32 mm wide tyres. When you choose a wider tyre, you get extra comfort and grip.
Mavic Care
With Mavic Care you can extend the warranty to 3 years by registering your purchased wheelset within 30 days on the Mavic website. You can also activate the crash replacement option there, which gives you up to 40% discount on a comparable product. You are eligible for this if your wheel cannot be repaired after a fall or collision.
MyMavic app
Via the MyMavic app (available in the App Store and via Google Play) you can get advice about the right tyre width and pressure, tailored to your rim width and the sort of surface you usually cycle on.
