Easy to use by folding in and out. Can also be used without a backrest, making it easy for larger children to also sit on the back. Quality feels solid.

The seat is very tightly attached. Must be removed with some effort. Panniers can also be attached to the side of the pannier rack.

Great seat, holds up to 35kg, folds down, is discreet (not conspicuous to bike thieves in principle) and can be removed and put on the seat (the base is fixed) by pressing a tab. Very good service, arrived in a couple of days.

It is a super narrow and handy seat although it does not fit ideally on our bike for us. We have a Longtail that has a toddler seat on it too. The frame is just a bit thicker so the footrests cannot be fitted properly. It takes up a bit more space lengthwise because the backrest opens and closes.

This product is a perfect addition to carry a child on your bike without it being completely taken over by the seat. If you don't have a child with you, you can nicely fold away the seat's backrest. The package also includes 2 sturdy footrests. The seat is equipped with straps and a lock which also guarantees safety. We plan to buy an extra chassis so we can easily move the seat from one bike to another.

Stylish bike seat with handy folding function of the backrest, which would also allow you to carry some luggage. The seat is easy to attach to the base, but also easy to detach. You attach the feet somewhere on the tube between the saddle and the rear wheel. The attachment of this is a separate system that I haven't seen before, but which ensures that it should fit around different thicknesses. What does feel illogical is that this tube on the bike is actually always angled while the feet basically attach perpendicular to the mount. For this reason, they have made the surface on which the foot comes in a kind of rounded roof shape, so that the foot still comes somewhat flat on top. The instructions are strikingly wrong (no longer). It mentions a safety strap between the seat and seat tube (as we also knew from the Bobike), but instead it comes with a cable with lock (as is also included with the Bobike). We first bought a black one and a few days later a black/brown one. Both had a lock and incorrect instructions. There were also a two minor differences between the two colour versions: - Both versions have no logical place at the bottom of the seat to attach the lock cable, especially the brown/black one. - On the black one, you fold the faux leather seat back and it's still attached at the back. On the brown/black one takes it off completely.

We quickly assembled the seat, suitable for shorter distances (5 years, 8 years old children).

This is a beautiful, well thought-out and affordable child carrier. The design is really nice, and the idea of the backrest that can be raised and the way it's assembled are great. The downside is the foam part you have to lift up to grab the seatbelt: at first, it's held in place by tight rubber in the corners, but after a while, it's more like magic. It's a shame, this point has been a bit botched, but that doesn't detract from the rest of the positive points. (unless you lose the foam along the way). I'd still recommend it without a problem.

Easy installation on the e-bike

First of all, there was some confusion about the installation, as the assembly instructions were from the previous model (result: if you have ordered the version with cable & twist lock, the "safety strap" shown in the assembly is omitted. It took a week to clarify this question and you have to speak English - you can't get help from the service hotline in German (no problem for me, but there are people who don't speak English very well or at all). The chair itself sits stably on the luggage carrier - the footrests are strangely aligned - there is (probably depending on the inclination of the tube) no smooth footrest surface. (And yes, I checked 3 times which tube and whether I had really put everything according to the instructions). My daughter (5 years) said after the first enthusiasm that the backrest at the upper end presses into her back - I have now sewn a padded cover and so it is comfortable. In the end, I am still satisfied - my daughter sits quite relaxed on the back. I would wish for even more secure footrests.

Have the child seat mounted on an e-bike Unimoke and am thrilled with the function. Attachment was simple. The footrests for the children perfect and if I want to take an adult person, then I simply fold the bracket.

I love it because I can carry saddlebags (fixed) with the saddle mounted. And the fact that the backrest can be lowered when not carrying the child is super practical at least for bikes like mine with a high frame.

We were looking for a way to get my 6 year old daughter to school. We initially had a toddler bike seat but she grew out of that. Then we had a trailer but she grew out of that. (Why trailer companies don't make taller trailers I don't know...). We finally found this - a bike seat for a 6-10 year old. And it's perfect. There are a couple of other brands in the market but they're nowhere near as well designed and lightweight as this. Even the packaging was slick. We can't fault the value for money either, it's excellent. Of course it doesn't provide the same shelter as a trailer but we bought a Hamax poncho-type raincover which goes over her helmet and stretches down over the footrests. Bottom line, we're extremely impressed and satisfied with the product and service and would recommend both the product and Mantel.

Very good product, with or without backrest depending on my children's preference, who find it comfortable. As the frame bars on my bike aren't round, I had a bit of trouble attaching the footrests, but once in place it's perfect. It's even compatible with an ortlieb pannier with QL3.1 attachment, so I don't have to remove the seat to put on the pannier.

The two girls love to sit no longer in the "baby seat "but like the "big ones". Very different from the usual China junk.

Purchased for the purpose of commuting between primary school, art lessons and music classes whenever the use of full-size cargo bike is not convenient. Perfectly matches the expectations of my little 6yo, who is totally happy with the seat with backrest up. When folded, I can carry my middle 13yo with no doubts nor complaints, so the size is pretty much universal, and footrests are good for all ages. Was a bit difficult for me to install, spent around 1hr just looking for perfection. Would suggest putting some thread sealant to prevent screws from being loose after some time.

Could not attach the bar that sits under the seat that attaches to the sides of the wheel. Works anyway. The footrests are mounted on the package holder brackets, because my package holder sits too high up. Recommend to buy if you are looking for smooth seat! My son loves it :)

Perfect for when your child outgrows the classic toddler chair. Compared to the classic high chair, this is a stylish and safe high chair that feels stable. I attached the seat cushion with a cable tie to prevent it from blowing away if the rubber straps that normally hold it in place were to come loose. The belt is intended to be stored under the seat cushion, but can also be clamped to the backrest when the child is not in the chair, faster and easier.

This seat is brilliant for my 3 year old. She is too big for other bike seats and I found this. The seat is easy to fit and set up. Once on the bike I've just left it on, though two Allen bolts and the whole thing could be removed ex ept the foot pregs so could be taken off in a few mins if you wanted. Excellent quality and well worth the price.

Very bad experience. Mantel technical support only has access to the same instructions as those available on the Internet. When I received the product, I realized that the seat and its support weighed 3.2 kg, information I couldn't find. Then assembly turned out to be a disaster, as the footrest support was either far too small or far too large. In the end, I can't attach the bar to the bike frame because it's fixed by the footrests. In short, this product is surely fine if it mounts on your bike. But that's not the case with mine.

The only annoying thing is the seat attachment. Since it is made of rubber, the small anchors easily slip out of the holes.

The only downside is that the detachable saddle comes off too easily, and putting it back on isn't always practical. The price I find a bit too high, and I don't think all people are in favor of spending a lot of money on something that will be used for 1 year or maybe 2 (it really depends on the child's weight). In the end, it's a very good product and I'm happy with my purchase.

I needed a child seat (5 years old) so that I could pick him up from school on my bike without having to carry him all the way to work. This seat is great for this purpose, thanks to the fold-down backrest. The footrests and seatbelt are also a plus. On my vae, I had to fix the footrest bar towards the rear, but it does the trick.

My daughter (4.5 years) loves to ride on the seat. We have her additionally attached a support bar on the saddle, so that she can hold on well even when driving faster (have an e-bike).It goes but also good without. Folded the seat is hardly noticeable, I think that's great. We have glued to the backrest still 3 reflector dots, so that one is seen even better in the dark. Satisfied all around. Mounting the seat is easy, the footrests a little less so. I didn't fit the bar that attaches to the footrests because it didn't fit on my frame. The footrests should have been able to tilt to adapt to the angle of the frame.

Seemed like a good option to "grow with the kid". Not as easy to mount as expected. The lock is worthless. The padded seat part came off on the first ride without a kid, to be lost somewhere in the city. The backrest couldn't fold down all the way due to my frame's geometry, so it would flop into my back repeatedly during the rides. I removed it, and asked for my money back, which I got. (Customer service was great!) I will look for another option.

I am 100% satisfied with the bike seat which also becomes a bean bag chair when the backrest is folded down. I mounted it on a Wafabike Old School Legend Cruiser and it fit perfectly! It's made for the bike! When I turned the brace for the foot pegs 180 degrees and mounted it in front of the child seat, everything fit 100%. The stays are needed to stabilize the foot pegs. I sent pictures to Wafabike because I want them to recommend the chair/bean stool to all dads who buy the bike. My daughter is 3 years 7 months old and she really loves sitting on it and cycling with dad!

The seat is ne super thing to take the no longer quite so small child for shorter distances up the back, without that the feet can get into the spokes, without that the child must stretch the legs strained to the side and without that the child must sit on the hard carrier. Unfortunately, the backrest is so steep that my son prefers to sit the other way around.

It fits perfectly on my VAE, my daughter is delighted, the seat is comfortable and very well maintained nothing moves, I like the fact that I can put or not a backrest, and the belt, plus the footrests are retractable, everything is practical, and the fact that you can remove the seat easily is great, or if you want to leave it there is a small padlock. I don't regret my purchase at all and I highly recommend it. If I had to say one negative thing, it's that I find it a bit heavy.

The seat is simple, but offers just a bit more than just a backrest and footrests. A strap allows you to secure your child: very nice! The design is very appealing, a matter of taste of course. Assembly is really easy and there is a video available that helps with all the steps of assembly. Our 3.5 year old daughter enjoys sitting on it. Also a plus: this seat is good to combine with panniers (note: these have to be panniers that are not completely closed on the bike rack, but have openings to have room to attach the bike seat. )

The footrests do not fit with me, unfortunately, because the frame is square and the holder is intended only for round, but since I have bags on the bike serve just these as a distance to the spokes.

Very good quality, attractive bike seat. Be careful, though, when installing the footrests: the bar is too short for an electric bike with a battery under the luggage rack. So I installed the footrests without the bar. Also, depending on the frame, the footrests may not be properly inclined, but nothing serious.

Class child seat! Already had a lot of fun with my six year old son. This works wonderfully. The assembly was very easy in itself, is also well illustrated and described. Overall, the materials feel very valuable. However, one fact has kept me busy longer: the footrests, which can only be attached to a cylindrical round tube. But my mountain bike unfortunately has tubes with oval cross-section at the point. I had to try around for several hours until I finally found a place where I could attach the things and where it then ultimately still worked. But all in all I'm very happy with the seat, I think it's a really good product. Suggestions for improvement: I guess the footrest thing could be fixed with a clever design or alternative plug-in elements. There is a risk of the child getting their feet caught in the wheel spokes. It would be quite good to have (at least optional) something for this in this set.

The seat has a solid structure. It is easy to attach and remove from the base. Installation is easy and support is satisfactory. The seat is comfortable and secure, thanks to the footrests and backrest. It is elegant and unobtrusive when folded away once the child is off the bike. On the other hand, the removable foam used for seat-belt access doesn't stay in place and falls out, especially when going over speed bumps, curbs and potholes. I've already lost it 2 times in 15 days (fortunately I found it again when I turned back). I was obliged to install a more effective fastening system, but this unfortunately blocked access to the belt storage area. So I removed it. All in all, it's a good seat, but it's better suited to slow-speed urban use, so as to avoid the inconvenience of losing the foam, or else, like me, you'll have to rethink the way the foam is fastened.

They are just too big for the familiar toddler rear seats, but still too small to sit on a loose cushion. Familiar story? Then this is an ideal seat! Folded down it is a wide seat, with railing up a narrow seat with a buckle strap. Seat itself is soft plastic and will not fill up with rainwater. In short, happy with it!
