Bought to put on my trainer. Shimano Ultegra might be a bit on the expensive side for on a trainer, but it's handy to have the same cassette as on the bike. No need to adjust every time you switch between outside and inside. However, I did need spacers to align the cassette (many trainers are fitted for 11-speed as standard) which unfortunately were not in stock. Once fitted, it runs like a charm. Unfortunately, the excuses are now out the door if I get wrecked again.

I wanted to replace my Shimano 105 5700 cassette (10 V - 11/25) with a cassette with more teeth. This 12/30 cassette fits the bill perfectly (used on a Shimano 105 long-cage derailleur).

Cassette operation exceeds my expectations due to its smooth operation combined with an ultégra RD6700 medium cage derailleur. The range of developments offered coupled with a triple chainring is very wide, from 52-12 to 30-30, enough to fully satisfy the lambda cyclotourist.

To replace an 11/28 cassette on a 50/39/30 triple. I'm happy with this 12/30 cassette, with better gear shifting than the old 105 11/28, no adjustment problems, the 30 is very practical when climbing, and the gear spacing is correct.

12-30 used for hilly TTs. Close ratio at the top, good spread at the bottom for those 20% climbs, the 3 tooth jumps at the bottom are fine paired with a 36. The 30 will winch you up anything!

Bought the Ultegra cassette/chain combo for a great price. It shifts much better than the 105 cassette with SRAM chain I had previously. Bizarrely Buying the Ultegra combo was cheaper than the previous but a lot better!

Chain slipping required new cassete and chain. Searched on line, came across Mantel. Good prices - great service and communication. If you're in the market for a new cassette, I strongly recommend to you the Shimano Ultegra Cassette, just as good as the Dura-ace range for half the cost.

I run a double on one of my bikes. This cassette makes it usable for winter training in lumpy north Oxfordshire. Good quality cassette with good range of cogs. I'll keep the other one I took off for racing and use this for training and winter club rides.
