Very nice product. Great quality. And what's more, the speed of customer service and delivery at Mantel is just great.

My father had a leather saddle and was doing A-R 200 kms in 1944. I thought the new materials were better... Wrong!!! This saddle is incomparably comfortable after breaking in. Really amazing. Well done!

Brooks B17 is one of the best saddles you can get for long rides, the imperial version just made it even better. You must allow it settle down to your bones for at least 400km, then it's like riding in a sofa. Clear recommendation! This is my second buy for my second bike.

Order Brooks saddle imperial carved was delivered after one day in Belgium and after three days and 230 km this saddle suits me fine so can only get better after breaking in ( setting ) .

I’m now on my second Brooks saddle … still got my first one on another bike Have tried numerous so called gel saddles none of them come near the comfort of a Brooks saddle, especially the Brooks Imperial ( with cut out)

Price and delivery from Mantel were great. As regards the saddle it will be a few thousand miles before I can really tell -its a brooks leather saddle. New its not too bad - a few thousand miles should make it grear

DutchID Falcon comes standard with an Ergon saddle. I just couldn't get used to it. Visited site of Argon, and what turns out, saddle is for use with cycling shorts. Visited Brooks site and through the selctor found this saddle. Already sits well (with regular pants), expected to only get better. Also order "Brooks Proofide", you need to apply this at the bottom of the saddle so that it quickly becomes more supple. And yes it is real leather and this should not get wet, so a waterproof cover is also recommended for outdoor bike storage.

Well after trying multiple saddles and experiencing extreme discomfort with wbc, fabric, specialized power arc elaston etc this saddle was comfortable immediately and it can only get better as it wears in!! Yes it’s heavier and chunky but its been around over 100 years for a reason - very happy

A beautifully built saddle, real craftsmanship. Thick leather, the saddle and rails are beautifully finished. With the laces provided, you can keep the saddle in nice shape. When you sit on the saddle, the sides can come out and push against the thigh. Thanks to the laces, you can adjust this to your liking. This also keeps the top of the saddle nicely in place. On receipt, the leather is rock hard. There is a small bag of Proofide included that you need to apply to make the leather more supple. After 500km, I start to feel that the saddle molds to me. I expect that after 1000km the saddle will be perfectly tuned to my sit bones and long bike rides can be done in ultimate comfort, without chamois. It is already the most comfortable saddle I have ever had. No friction on the skin, the saddle does not get hot like plastic/gel saddles, the leather can regulate the temperature well. Leather does not tolerate water well. So to keep the saddle in good condition, cover it with a plastic bag or saddle cover when you park the bike in the rain. Also, several times a year treat the leather with Proofide. I expect the saddle to last a long time, as proven by mile-eaters who have been touring tens of thousands of kilometres with this saddle.

A truely beautifully made saddle which has rightfully earned its place in cycling folk law. Even from the first ride I found this saddle far more comfy than my stock saddle and I did a 30 mile ride straight away with no problems. Supplied with 4 different coloured laces to customise your saddle and a packet of proofade to help break it in. I can't recommend this saddle highly enough!!
