Top quality

- Jacob, 4 September, 2021

Used intensively for 5 years and never a penny of pain. Now it is worn out and recently the chain fell off. That was the first time in 5 years, really an achievement!

Pros & Cons

Beautifully finished
Chain has fallen off once in 5 years
Lasts a very long time!
Purchase price (but worth it)

perfect just like that!

- Michel, 22 June, 2021

Very nice for looks , light and efficient. Starting from the original sprocket 32, I chose 32 for this AB too. I am on the trails a lot and partly on the road. By now I have done quite a few km on it with this oval and therefore experience with it. What I notice is that it is easier to get up on climbs. It is more gradual, so I am less prone to wheelspin (mud and roots) on a hill because you distribute your power better now. For the straights it makes no difference and you get used to it in no time. Some people will take 34 instead of 32, but when I'm in top gear I don't get above my normal cadence, and I still have plenty of room left (top speed of 52 km/h with 32 x 11/50 cassette).

Perfect replacement for the standard round chainring

- Kristof, 30 October, 2020

This is now my second one. Perfect replacement for the standard round chainring. Because it is oval, the dead centre is different, making for smoother climbing, but also making it easier to get to the top on muddy slopes. Chain never falls off the chainring and the lifespan is definitely as good as the standard chainring. I replace it as standard together with cassette (XG 1195), which only wears out after the 3 chains I change with also wear out.

Pros & Cons

Chain never falls off chainring
Dynamics when climbing

beautiful and effective

- éric, 16 July, 2020

Switching from a round 32T to an oval 30T on a 12-speed single chainring. As a beginner to mountain biking, this change of chainring means I'll have less trouble on my long rides. I'm on flat pedals, so there's a feeling of a hole in the pedalling when you're not in the right gear. With practice, after 2 outings, it suits me and allows me to do some relaunches that I couldn't do before.
