Description
The Kryptonite Keeper is a very solid lock. The lock is made of 12mm thick hardened steel and equipped with innovations such as Deadbolt design that makes the lock extra strong. The PVC coating of the brackets ensures that the lock will not damage your bike and the cylinder is extra protected against breaking, drilling and cracking.
Key Safe Program
Should you lose your key, you can easily request a new one through the Kryptonite Key Safe Program once you have registered your lock. In many cases the first two keys are even free! Want more information or to register? Click here.
Anti-Theft Protection Offer (ATPO)
Kryptonite is so confident in its products that they offer extra security against theft with certain locks in the form of Anti-Theft Protection Offer (ATPO). This is a one-off fee that compensates registered customers for a set amount of money in the event that their bike is stolen as a result of the lock being forced open. This is not the same as bicycle insurance, but is a Kryptonite initiative. For more information on ATPO or to register your lock, visit this page.

Don't buy this one
I bought this lock because I needed a lock that stays well attached to my bike. The fastening mechanism is okay, but the hook with which the lock falls into the holder is loose around the lock. this allows it to rotate on its axis and your lock does not sit perfectly still. if you tighten the bolt to counteract this rotation, the other side splits open and it is even more difficult to get it into the holder. it is quite awkward. In addition, the key often gets stuck and opening and closing is not very smooth. and there is far too much play between the lock and the "U" of the lock, making it very noisy when cycling.
