I bought to have the running metrics despite using a Garmin Fenix 5 and it works flawlessly. You have the running metrics of each activity despite not being Garmin and for less price than the Garmin HRM.

Pros & Cons

Easy pairing
Lightweight
Running dynamics
Replacement tape only fits wahoo's own tape

For health and performance

- Erik, 23 April, 2022

The Wahoo TICKR X is my replacement for my 5 year old Garmin HRM-Dual Heart Rate Monitor the sensor started to malfunction giving erratic readings, had recently replaced the battery. I used the Wahoo once, the band fits well around my chest and the sensor transmits the data to my Garmin navigation system.

Pros & Cons

easy to pair with ANT
Looks solid
the light blinks that it is connected

As long as it does good product, but unfortunately quality leaves much to be desired.

- Rudy, 13 April, 2022

Within a year the heart rate reading no longer does it properly. Replaced battery, washed chest strap. All to no avail. Just googling I am not the only one with this problem. Quality substandard for such an expensive product.

Pros & Cons

Heart rate and cadence
Fast piece

Sublime device that meets all expectations

- Vincent, 9 February, 2021

It was a long wait between the announcement by Wahoo and the finally being available on the market. But it was well worth the wait. Have had it for several weeks now and works perfectly compatible with my Garmin edge GPS and Tacx smart trainer. The internal memory allowing you to run without a smartwatch/smarthphone is an absolute bonus. Due to the presence of ant+ as well as Bluetooth, this heart rate monitor is unique and in terms of price/quality a topper.

Pros & Cons

Both ant+ and Bluetooth
Comptable with devices from other manufacturers
Internal memory that stores your workout for up to 48 hours
Light
User-friendly
Calibration requires some work
