I bought these carbon wheel pads for use with Vision Metron wheels having used the standard ones which were already Swisstop branded Vision but in the "Flash Evo Black Prince" version. Unfortunately, these 'flash/race pro' brake pads, unlike the evo, have a softer compound and wear out quickly, leaving residual material on rim and pad. It's really incredible how much material wears off already after an outing with many descents. The only positive side is that compared to the evo model they are less noisy and do not whistle with the slightest contamination of dirt or excessive heat from the braking track. Braking is decent at least in the dry, in the wet I haven't had the chance to test them yet.

Top brake pads, perform well even in the rain and easy to install. Gives super confidence for turns and descents.

I'm riding carbon wheels for the first time and therefore also for the first time brake pads that were made for them. After some horror stories from friends about the braking performance of carbon rims and some brake pads, I decided on the Swiss Stop Flash/Race Pro and so far I am very satisfied with the braking performance. However, so far I have only ridden a few metres in altitude and only in dry conditions.

1 outing of 40km and I can see signs of wear on the pads, but we'll see over time.

The pads do a fine job but had expected more from them. Recently replaced my alu rims with carbon and the braking certainly doesn't come close to aluminium....

Goede remblokken, correct geleverd. Remmen in natte omstandigheden valt een beetje tegen maar is niet problematisch.

After anxious moments with other brake pads, I initially switched to my Alu rims. Since the eye wants something, I decided to look for suitable brake pads for the carbon clinchers. I have now found them, bring on those mountains.

They have much better feel that the yellow version I was using previously.

Ive used a few brands of brake pads, admittedly not that many for carbon, but these are superb on carbon brake surfaces. In the dry, it's hard to tell the difference from aluminium brake tracks. At the price Mantel is offering them at there is no downside.
