Pros
-
The ideal choice if you are not familiar with carbon wheels: thanks to the 30 day money back guarantee you can try them out without any obligation.
Thanks to the aluminium braking edges on these carbon wheels you always have good braking power, even in wet weather.
The aerodynamic U-shaped rims are not wind sensitive and will keep your bike up to speed more easily.
These wheels do not have a maximum rider weight, so they can take a beating and handle heavier or stronger riders well.
Tubeless Ready (TLR) rims allow for quick conversion to a tubeless setup. If you do get a puncture, the hole is immediately filled by the latex in the tyre.
This wheelset is the best available choice among aluminium wheels with its extremely low weight of 1630 grams and its excellent DT240S hubs.
The PR 1400 DICUT 32 OXiC wheels have gorgeous features such as the all black brake tracks and diamond shaped hubs.
The ceramic OXiC brake track increases braking performance and wears more slowly than regular aluminium brake tracks.
With their low weight and 32 mm rims, these wheels excel in hilly areas; as they give you aerodynamic advantages as well, they are suitable for all-round use!
These wheels come with an extra freehub body to be compatible with both Shimano and SRAM XDR. The freehubs can be swapped easily without tools.
The low weight of 1595 grams offers numerous advantages, such as easier acceleration after a turn and faster uphill riding.
Excellent all-round wheelset because of their balance between rigidity, weight, and rim depth.
Good power transfer thanks to the G3 spoke pattern, the high flange and shorter spokes in the rear wheel.
These wheels are very popular because of their extremely interesting price/performance ratio and are the counterpart to the Fulcrum Racing 3 at a more interesting price level.
Multi-purpose from training to racing, both in hilly terrain and on flat roads.
Cons
-
Not a full carbon wheel, but rather an aluminium wheel with a carbon cover to enhance the aerodynamics.
If you're looking for a DT Swiss wheelset with carbon rims, we recommend the PRC series.
If you often ride on rough, sandy surfaces, the black OXiC brake track may eventually show signs of wear.
Because of the 32 mm high rims, these wheels are slightly heavier than the 21 mm version. So, if you want lighter wheels, the DT Swiss PR 1400 DICUT 21 OXiC are worth considering.
The larger distance between the individual spokes makes it harder to true the wheel.
