Description
The Varia Rearview Radar work independently and can be paired with an Edge 520 or Edge 1000 bike computer. An Edge 520/1000 bike computer or Varia radar display can show multiple approaching vehicles and has a indicator how fast they approach you and if they are a hazard.
Of course, you always pay attention and look over your shoulder when you are making a turn, but with the Varia radar you can have a look behind you without turning around, so you ride even safer! For people with limited hearing, this is a good addition.

Best thing ever for me as I'm partly deaf ..
I'm partly deaf myself and was always nervous on the busy roads as I wouldn't hear any car behind me, plus I have to look back every so often knowing it more dangerous as I could lose control of it, but that all change now due to a brill garmin varia , it had made my life so easy and I'm not afraid anymore .... so I recommended for anyone whose a bit nervous on the bike ... top class device

The Garmin Varia Rearview Radar is the first radar system for bikes that warns you for vehicles from behind, up to a distance of 140 meters. The radar tail light warns traffic from behind, they are approaching a cyclist by flashing LED's.
