Description

Description

The Fouriers Aero V Brake BR-Dx005 is specially made for the Giant Propel and the Giant Envie bicycles. These bikes are the Giant bicycles Marianne Vos and Marcel Kittel have been riding with. In 2014 these brakes had some victories in the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. Aerodynamic frames ask for aerodynamic brakes. When riding fast you need to be able to brake even faster. Fouriers brakes are high-quality brakes, which meets the demands of the professional rider.

They are well worth the money the best upgrade you can do to your giant propel

Huge Improvement

- Alan 16 April 2017

I put these on my 2016 Propel SL, first time pulling the brakes and I nearly went over the top of the handlebars. The braking performance is a massive improvement over the standard Giant propel brakes. These brakes should be standard issue for the Propel SL range but at least I have them now and the Mantel delivery service was excellent, well packaged. Very happy!

Pros & Cons

Easy installation
Superb braking

Big improvement over 2016 Giant SpeedControl Ti brakes

- Henry 10 October 2016

These are a big improvement over the standard Giant brakes on my 2016 Propel SL. Under braking using the Giant brakes you could see the brake arms flexing noticeably and this gave the levers a spongy, unresponsive and ultimately grabby braking feel. The Fouriers are at least twice as stiff, giving much improved performance and far more encouraging lever feedback and feel. Brings the braking up to the standard of the rest of the Dura-Ace groupset on the bike. Worth the money to upgrade as the Giant brakes were the only let-down on the bike.

Pros & Cons

Easier to adjust and stay set correctly
Much better lever feel
Significant improvement to braking performance
Stiffer brake arms
Expensive even when compared to dura-ace calipers
