The rear brake is lighter because of its mono pivot arms, this ensures a lighter brake without sacrificing stopping power. The brake pads are of a different sort of composition. Through the new composition the stopping distance is shorter in dry and wet conditions. In addition, they are also a noiseless while you are stopping.
