Assos Equipe RS S9 Bib Short

Description

The Equipe RS S9 bib shorts are high-end shorts in Assos’ range. They’ve been completely redesigned and re-engineered compared to their predecessor. And they were tested for six years before becoming available.

Improving the fit was the focus in designing these Assos Equipe RS S9 bib shorts. Thanks to the special Ergobox and Rollbar technologies, you’ll have increased stability and comfort. The Ergobox results in a reinforced rear, which provides your lower back with additional stability. The Rollbar technology enables the bibs being attached lower on the backside of the shorts, which does a better job of keeping the padding in place.

The core of the shorts, the padding, has been improved as well. It is now lighter and consists of superAir microShock foam 3D padding. This is combined with the kraterCooler system to increase breathability. It is now attached to the patented horizontal stabiliser at the back. The result: Assos' well-known level of comfort, but even better!

A-Lock Engineering
S9 racingFit system comprising new textiles and technologies working in harmony to stabilize the shorts and secure the chamois in place.

Butterfly Pattern
The primary textile panel fully wrapping the lower back and legs, coming together in the rear. Fewer seams leads to a more uniform hold, less weight, and greater comfort.

Type.441
Here we are talking about a patented warp knit with 40 stitches, which results in compression and a silky soft comfort. 200 g/m2, UPF 50+, moisture dissipation (idroFil fastDry), iceColor, odorControl and very durable.

rollBar
A patented principle that, thanks to the bibs, keeps the chamois perfectly in place while you move your weight from right to left while turning a corner. This principle is similar to that of the stabiliser bar in racing cars.

ergoBox
This is a square pattern construction that frames the chamois at the back and encloses it to create extra stability

Carbon Xbib
Elastic material made from one piece that folds over to form a supporting A-frame that provides a limited vertical stretch in the back. Above the X-joint, a more flexible material, containing antibacterial properties, is used to process moisture and stay flat at the front.

zeroWaist
A raw-cut and tape-reinforced edge, to make the transition between body and fabric as smooth as possible. The result is more comfort with less pressure.

Ultralight Leg Grippers
The new Lycra/elastane structure is woven into the bands and wraps around the thighs. The result is soft, ultra-light compression. Silicone treatment is not used.

b>30% seam reduction
The product is equipped with flatter and less seams. Increasing comfort and lowering the total weight.

S9 Basalt
This refers to an antibacterial microfibre top layer in 3D-basalt color. It is a tribute to the lava stone that stands for strength, stability and courage.

superAir microShock foam
A lightweight open cell foam with a shock absorbing composition that returns to its original position, filling the gap every time pedaling position is changed in the saddle through the shift of weight.

Assos Waffle/3D-Waffle
A patented three layer perforated foam that increases breathability and eliminates redundant weight.

Surface Reduction Design
Seat pad footprint reduced from previous Equipe Evo pattern to shed extra weight.

Assos goldenGate
A patented technology that interrupts the stitching along both side panels of the chamois, allowing more three-dimensional freedom of movement in this specific and sensitive spot.

Horizontal Stabilizer
A patented central stitch that attaches the back of the chamois to the outer fabric. This prevents it from shifting when you stand on the pedals.

Krater Ventilation/Krater Cooler
System of small holes in the front of the seat pad that increases airflow so that your sensitive areas are kept cooler.
