The FFWD Tyro wheels are developed for cyclists and gravel riders who want to upgrade to carbon wheels, and are looking for a wheel set with a fantastic price-quality ratio. The Tyro can be used on almost all types of terrain because it is possible to mount tyres up to 40 mm. Together with the rim height of 45mm, the weight of 1695 grams and the load capacity up to 120 kg, the Tyro is super versatile. Whether you race, like to ride in hilly terrain or choose unpaved paths with your gravel bike, the FFWD Tyro is your wheel set!

FFWD has equipped the Tyro with a Tubeless Ready rim. Because the tubeless rim tape is pre-assembled, you can ride without inner tubes in no time. All you have to do is mount the tubeless valves and add tubeless latex. The FFWD hubs with well sealed industrial bearings are maintenance free. FFWD has opted for strong and reliable DT Competition StraightPull spokes, which are manually spoked into the wheel in house by FFWD. This guarantees a high quality wheel set.

FFWD hub system
The wheels are equipped with FFWD hubs with industrial bearings that are well sealed and will not cause any problems in the longer term. Fast Forward developed the hubs in house and they are close to the DT Swiss 350 hubs in terms of quality. The body has a ratchet interior of the same build quality for which FFWD is known.

DARC rim profile
DARC technology stands for the special shape in the rim. This rim shape is different from all others in the field of aerodynamics. Thanks to this shape, the air flow sticks the first part to the rim after which it is pushed out so that it flows along and not through the spokes. This results in less vortex and resistance in the wheel making it easier to maintain your speed.

Hand spoked
All wheels from FFWD are hand spoked with high precision. This is done in Zwolle where the wheels are completely assembled. During this building process, the wheels are tensioned in such a way that the spokes are already stretched and no longer need to be tensioned after 500 km.

Crash Replacement Policy
In case of a breakdown, FFWD supports you by offering replacement rims at a reduced price. This is in addition to the 3-year warranty if you register the wheels as the first owner.
