Description
Get your mountain bike back up to date with the Sram X01 Upgrade kit including cranks. A 1x12 drivetrain gives you even more choice to pick the right gear. The 10-50 12-speed cassette offers you a gear ration light enough to climb any mountain, heavy enough to go for an all-out sprint, or do anything in between.
Do you prefer red, or are you more fond of black components? You can also choose your preferred shifting system: trigger or twister.
Kicking it up a gear is something they've taken rather literally at Sram. The Eagle X01 groupset is stronger, quieter, more durable, and more accurate. The extra cog on the cassette slightly increases the overall weight of the groupset compared to the 11-speed version, but it's still a considerably lighter system than a double groupset. Perfect then for cross country racers!
The Sram X01 Eagle Upgrade kit builds on the technologies first used with the well-known XX1 and X01 groupsets, including the X-Horizon rear derailleur, carbon cranks with direct mount chainrings, and single-piece construction cassettes. The Eagle cassette is identical to the 11-speed cassette when it comes to the used cogs, except for the addition of a 50t cog. It now runs as follows: 10t, 12t, 14t, 16t, 18t, 21t, 24t, 28t, 32t, 36t, 42t, 50t. Only the biggest cog is made using aluminium, the rest has been CNC machined from a single piece of steel. The 12-speed cassette fits the existing XD Driver. This means that the space between the cogs has been reduced, making the chain narrower as well.
Because of the larger cassette, the design of the X-Horizon rear derailleur has been altered. The cage is slightly longer and the lower pulley has been increased in size from 12 to 14 teeth. The Roller Bearing Clutch has been further refined to offer a consistent pulling force across the entire range of the cage.
