Assembly
Use Missing Link pliersThis chain comes with a missing link as standard. The use of this missing link makes it very easy to assemble the chain, but is also ideal if you want to thoroughly clean your bike. To open and close this missing link you need Missing Link pliers, you can find them here.
Lengthening with a chain rivet tool
When you buy a chain it is always too long, which means it always needs to be cut to length. To adjust the chain to the correct length it has to be broken, this is done with a chain punch. Our chain punches can be found here. Make sure you choose a chain tool for the right speed.
User tips
How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

Worn out quickly, but this was in tough conditions, so I'll give this type of chain another chance.
Worn out after 950km. This was in very wet and muddy conditions in winter 2023/2024. After every ride, I clean the chain and sprockets and give the chain a fresh coat of lubricant. In drier conditions, I still hope to get a few thousand kilometres with this chain.

Fine original chain
Fine original chain. Sram Eagle requires precise adjustment but then runs nicely. Lasts quite long despite riding through rain, mud and sand (2000+km).

Wears off quickly
After a few mud rides, the 0.5 mark on the chain gauge was already falling between the links. Wears noticeably faster than its more expensive brothers the X01 and XX1. Next time I'll go back for the X01 chain.

I will continue to post it
Works exactly like the XX1
