Description
The Shimano XTR M8020 pedals are strong, stiff, are fitted with a cage and ensure a long lifespan. The cage enlarges its weight, but ensures a higher efficiency. It is still possible to clip-in on two sides. The m8020 pedals are widened by 2.8 mm and the platform height is reduced by 0.5 mm. This ensures your shoes have a larger contact surface. According to research, this ensures the pedal efficiency is enlarged with 7.7% compared to the previous XT pedals.
Just like all other mountain bike SPD pedals the XT M8020 pedals can be clipped-in on two sides. Included are the SH-51 cleats that have 4 degrees play, thus ensure you still have some freedom of movement. In addition, you can adjust the spring tension on each side with an Allen key, this changes the force you need to apply to clip-in.
