Shimano Dura Ace Di2 R9150 11-speed Groupset

The Shimano Dura Ace Di2 R9150 is the electronic groupset in the new R9100 series. This version offers the best possible shifting performance available at this time. Each component has been optimised with the new groupset. The shifters have a more ergonomic design and feature small operating switches placed on top of the shifters which allow you to operate your lights or Garmin bike computer. The rear derailleur has been given an upgrade with the Shadow technology, causing it to be placed more directly below the cassette and reducing its vulnerability. The brakes have been given wider clearance, facilitating wider tyres which are slowly becoming the new standard, and finally the crankset has been made more rigid and efficient without adding more weight.

Technology

The rear derailleur uses the Shadow technology first seen with Shimano mountain bike rear derailleurs. This causes the derailleur to be placed more directly below the cassette, reducing the chances of damage from external causes such as a crash.

Possibly familiar from mountain biking, but now also available on the new Dura Ace 9150 Di2 groupset. A programmable system allows you to shift using a predetermined sequence. This enables the front derailleur to automatically shift when you've reached the end of your cassette (or sooner, should you so desire). Shimano guarantees a shock-free experience, meaning you won't feel a thing while you're pushing hard.

The newly designed crank set makes for a more efficient power transfer as well as increased rigidity while staying at the same weight.
