Description

Description

The Shimano 105 R7000 cassette is a cassette that supports you in a good way during your bike rides. This 105 cassette has a high price-performance ratio and switches gears quickly, even when there’s a lot of pressure on the pedals!

Ratios for every terrain
There are different cassette ratios to choose from for different terrains. The 12/25 is suitable for flat rides, while the 11/28 or 11/30 are more suitable for hilly courses and for some even for the mountains. For most cyclists, however, the 11/32 and 11/34 cassettes are best suited for the high mountains. All this, of course, while taking into account whether you’re cycling compact, semi-compact or double.

Technology

Direct switching performance thanks to special grinding
The gears are developed with care and ground with great precision. For example, gear lines are applied in the cassette and some teeth have rounded tips. This ensures that you can switch gears even with great pressure on the pedals. During an uphill spring you can thus go a step further (or you can switch to a lighter gear when your legs are getting tired).

Cassette ratios and weight:
• 12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-21-23-25T, 269 grams
• 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-23-25-28T, 284 grams
• 11-12-13-14-15-17-19-21-24-27-30T, 304 grams
• 11-12-13-14-16-18-20-22-25-28-32T, 320 grams
• 11-13-15-17-19-21-23-25-27-30-34T, 379 grams

Compatibility

Cassette width
The cassette with 11/34 ratio is the same width as an 11-speed mountain bike cassette and a race 10-speed cassette. To mount this cassette on an 11-speed body, a 1,85 mm spacer is included. The other Shimano 105 R7000 cassettes are wider and fit on an 11-speed body without a spacer.

Assembly

Mounting with special tools
To assemble and disassemble this cassette you will need specific cassette tools. These can be found here.

Don't forget the assembly grease!
The lockring on your cassette should be tightened up, in most cases up to 40Nm. To be able to loosen the cassette, we recommend you to apply a little bit of assembly paste to the lockring. Our assembly greases can be found here.

User tips

How often should I clean my bike? Regular cleaning ensures that your material lasts longer and that you can enjoy your cycling for longer. How often you need to clean depends on the weather conditions in which you ride. Do you cycle through all kinds of weather, or do you only go out when the sun is shining? It all affects the degree of wear and tear and some people will have to clean their bikes more often than others. Use the schedule below as a guide:

October to March:
• Clean every 200 km
• Rinse after every ride
• Dry and oil the chain after every ride
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature

April to September:
• Clean every 300 km
• Rinse off after cycling in the rain
• Dry and oil the chain after polishing or rinsing
• Leave the bike to dry at room temperature
