1 / 5

Not the best product for an MTB

- Jeroen 10 June 2022

Because it closes less tightly, some extra force is needed when tightening the locking cap so that both taper rings are pressed tight enough against the steering head to feel no play. It caused the starnut to shift, so much force was needed. For an MTB, I would look for another model that closes better.

Pros & Cons

Closes less tightly around a 1 1/8 tube than others
The top cone is plastic instead of metal

2 / 5

Better spend a bit more for a headset with industrial bearings.

- Evert 2 August 2021

I was very happy with this affordable product when I had just fitted it to my wife's MTB. However, the grease was out quickly to give way to dirt and rust.

Pros & Cons

Affordable
Easy to adjust
Runs smoothly (when new)
Lets dirt and water in easily
Rusts quickly

4 / 5

easy to mount
