Good all year round tire for training and racing

- Jose, 5 June, 2020

I bought this being fed up with the lack of consistency from another well-known brand, some were fine, some lasted just a few rides. Mounted last August on a rear Mavic Cosmic (alu), not without the expected high level of sweat and tears, as these rims are extremely tight; The Vredestein life started with an unfortunate big puncture on the first ride, which quickly sealed (Cafelatex vitamin C was the missing ingredient to make tubeless a robust puncture free experience). Apart from this first puncture the tire has performed very well over the winter, on wet and dirty Cambridgeshire roads, and still going well now in June (about 5000Kms). I only had another big puncture which also sealed quickly and I repairing with a plug just to avoid unnecessary risks. I expect to be able to do at least another 1500Kms before I have to replace it. Performance was so good that I also installed this tire on my racing carbon wheels, pain-free experience compare to the Mavic. No racing this year, but a few outings with it and performance is excellent. Tires are grippy and give a lot of confidence on corners under wet conditions. I can't comment on rolling resistance, but they seem to be as good as other well known brand. I have not noticed any drop on my avg speed (which in any case depends more on my level of fitness and external conditions than the tire itself). Highly recommended, this is my tubeless tire of choice for all year round training and racing. Only con is that I still find tubeless tires too expensive. I don't see the reason for that.

Great tyres, and tubeless

- Nick, 9 June, 2019

I love the ride tubeless gives, but I didn’t love the endless Schwalbe Pro Ones I had to buy. They were so prone to puncture, hopeless in winter, always short lived. Some of the guys in the club were raving about Vredestein Fortezza All Weather tyres. It wasn't clear if the Senso TLR would be as tough, but I took the risk. After four months no punctures and great performance!!! The best of all worlds.

Pros & Cons

Great performance
No punctures (yet)
