The wheels are fine for commuting, solidly stiff and not wind sensitive. Small drawback is that the rims are black, but the rim brakes scuff them white in a short time

Wheels run very smoothly.

These wheels look very nice while they are new, when the colour wears out you will see, they are quite basic in both construction and function, qualities in keeping with their price, the actual weight is 1825 grams without fasteners.

The wheels are perfect, balanced, incredible sound, roll very well. The problem is that they are not well packed and are damaged in transport. The packaging was damaged and the rear wheel was damaged.

The brand was not well known to me, but after some research I found out that they are not just a pair of wheels, and they are very good and meet my expectations.

The truth is that, for aluminum, they have surprised me.

Economical wheels, but with a spectacular performance. Very very rolling, although they lose agility uphill with respect to the lower profile but far exceed it on the flat and downhill. Very aesthetic and with a spectacular sound.

I bought them as a spare wheelset and have actually had them permanently on the bike since. They roll perfectly on gravel and gravel roads and have a nice aerodynamic advantage in the 35 mm deep rims. The weight is surprisingly light, and they look awesome with the black sides, but only until they wear away, which is a bit fast, but you can't have everything in life. The price was great!

The product corresponds perfectly to the description. Very attractive wheels and a noisy freewheel body, it's hard to ask for more for the price. The only downside, which isn't really a downside, is that the paint on the brake band fades quickly. Received in 3 days!

Vision wheels of 35 mm aluminum profile, excellent value for money. I am satisfied with the smoothness and sturdiness, having ridden only 200 km I cannot give an opinion on the long-term behavior, but for the moment I can only give a favorable opinion. I recommend using new and soft compound brake pads to preserve the color of the brake tracks,(I mounted Swiss Top Race Flash PRO BXP Blue). Serious and reliable seller, I received the item in a very short time.

Good quality, roundness seems pretty good. Keep in mind that the rims are very stiff. Nice but in combination with a 26mm tire at 7 bar and a bad road surface your bike vibrates a lot and small bumps are returned very hard. Compared to my previous 23 mm shimano rims less comfortable. But the looks and better aerodynamics make up for a lot!

I was actually looking for other wheels, but finally decided to buy these after contacting mantel customer service (thanks Babette!!!). Received very good advice and then chose this set. They are beautiful wheels and they bulge fantastically. After a good 600 km the black of the brake rim is a bit gone, but it's not that noticeable at all. Because of the somewhat deep rim and the aero spokes they look awfully good, I have already scored a lot of compliments on them.

Nice upgrade to your bike at an affordable price. After 2 rides the black brake rim starts to wear off, but with aluminum brake rim it still gives your bike a good look. The fine ratchet is also a nice touch with these rims, the bell becomes redundant (no joke, a bell on your bike is important). Conclusion: I would recommend these rims.

These came fitted to my bike when I bought it and I've now covered about 6,000 miles (9,600 km) of regular commuting over some pretty rough roads in and out of London. So, first the good: The rims are amazingly tough and managed to survive the beating they've taken very well. I recently had a big accident which broke a chain stay on my carbon frame and actually put a small dent in the rim and it was still barely out of true. The wheel bearings, too, have stood up pretty well to this. They were never up to, say, DT Swiss standard but they've been fine for a commuter bike. So on to the bad: the freehub has obviously taken on water and the bearings are now sounding horrible; I've also had the occasional slipping pawl for some time now. The good news is that you can easily get a replacement freehub and it only requires a big hex wrench to fit. However the thread that holds the rear axle together is not adequate to tighten it up properly so it's only the QR skewer that's holding it together, so if I did replace the freehub I would also need to replace the axle and it's just more money than these wheels warrant. Also, the anodizing on the rim is a rough matte finish which I've found impossible to clean properly. On a purely personal note I don't really like such deep section rims as I find they catch the wind rather, but I wouldn't mark them down for that.

They feel very quick when cycling above 20-25kmph. The noise from the hub sounds great. I covered 280km the weekend I first rode these and they never skipped a beat. The rims did wear to reveal bare metal but that was expected. My only gripe is there’s a tiny bit of play in the rear hub, I’m taking a mm or less laterally. Some say this is the norm but non of my fellow riders have play nor have I ever had play in any other of my previous wheels. It’s one to keep an eye on.

Ordered these wheels as a replacement for Bontrager wheels on my Trek Emonda. The bike feels much more stable which gives much more confidence in corners and a much better ride. The 35mm high rims give your bike a boost in terms of looks. The wheels were delivered quickly and are perfectly straight and undamaged. Top job from Mantel!

Wheels arrived romptly and in perfect condition. Look superb on my bike and a nice deep, aero profile. The braking surface has started to lose its black finish but only to be expected and does not appear to be an issue. They appear to be well made and, while they're not the lightest wheels, they are certainly not heavy. Very pleased with them. Would definitely use Mantel again, good price and prompt delivery.

Really great performance but pity about the color on the break area surface wearing off so quickly, especially after one ride in the rain. Still good value for the price. And I have to say Mantel’s price was very competitive compared to other sites and really efficient delivery. Great job
