Excellent, meets expectations

- Jan, 21 March, 2024

Added to my bike at the last minute, already having fun with it: so I can even ride on my gravel bike in normal clothes and shoes next to my wife on her electric bike

Good but heavy

- Sven, 1 August, 2021

Bought these pedals because I don't always want to ride with spd shoes. Upon picking up the box, I immediately noticed 1 thing..... How heavy these things are. Anyway, mounted anyway. Nice that spd 56 plates are included. The pedal is a bit heavier on 1 side so it always tilts so that the spd protrudes backwards. This allows you to engage quite easily by moving your foot forward (double spd is still easier of course, but at least it has been thought about). Pulling the foot back to get the non-spd side up takes more getting used to. When going down a muddy trail, had to unclick a few times to correct an imbalance, they release very easily, you almost forget you are clipped in. Even with substantial mud under your shoe it clicks back in quite easily. I also subjected the pedals/plates to a "pull test" (go up a steep hill and pull on the pedals), but with a straight load I can't say they let go very easily. They may not set any records, but in the end I am very satisfied with these pedals!

Pros & Cons

No more changing pedals
Heavy duty

Handy pedal for long distances in the city and on loose dirt roads

- Ivo, 31 August, 2020

It is advisable to adjust the click system slightly. Because of the alternating sides - normal pedal or click system - you can sometimes forget which side you are using when getting off or stopping. In that case, a light adjustment will release you quickly so you can have your foot on the ground in time. So a handy pedal for long distances in the city and on loose dirt roads.

Pros & Cons

Choice with or without click
Especially for touring or hybrid bikes
Good grip on both sides of pedal
Smooth rotating pedal
Suitable for all conditions
It takes a while to find the right side up
Remember which side you used when getting off the bike
