Since I have converted my cyclocrosser a bit graveliger, I have come to the limits with the Ultegra transmission with the larger tires. To be able to drive a larger crack in the back had to get a longer shift arm. Now I have a good rescue gear with 34/32 ratio when it gets steeper.

Good thing it is still available at Mantel. Replaced the short derailleur for the long one so I could mount a 32 at the rear. That worked out. I now ride 34 x 32 up every hill.

Mounting it was easier than expected. There was so much play on the old derailleur that shifting was always a bit of a struggle. With the new derailleur, that problem was solved immediately.

Bought this rear derailleur in the long cage version. Everything was included to install it on my bike. Works great, shifting is smooth and the chain stays on nicely.

Only the derailleur had to be replaced after sustained damage. This delivery avoided the need to unnecessarily replace other parts as well. The group thus remains intact and complete. It was worth the wait for me.

This is the third I’ve fitted to my bikes, as I get older a the hill get steeper it gives me a larger gear range.with my old shimano flight deck shifters I’ve go an 11 36 working

Not so easy to find 10 speed 105 anymore so was happy to find this item in stock.

Shimano rear Mech compatibility with larger range cassettes can be confusing, but the 105 medium cage 5701 from Mantel definitely works fine with a 32 cog.

I like this product because it genuinely incorporates higher quality technology of ultegra and Dura Ace but at a bargain price. Shame Shimano are short sighted and it is getting rare to find 10 speed components in 105. Thank you Mantel for delivering very quickly. Was happy to pay the extra above UK prices and arrived very well packaged. You are on my favourites list now!
