Great combo grip-low rolling resistance!
Great tyre to combine with an Ikon or Rekon Race at the back in summer. In winter both tyres Ardent Race, 2.35 at the front and 2.20 at the rear: pilots you fine through most conditions except the most muddy ones. The tyre combines grip with low rolling resistance.

Excellent smoothness and durability
very good on the front, I've been using it for about a month now and it has never given any signs of failure. good lateral grip and very good glide for xc and trail

Absolute top tubeless tyre
I have been using the Ardent Race as a tubeless tyre for about 2 years after a comparable product from a German manufacturer lost more and more of its quality. The first inflation is impossible without a compressor or a pump with a reservoir. Once inflated, the tyre is absolutely tight. The tyre has good grip, is relatively light and has quite good durability. Absolutely recommendable.

Great band!
Great tyre i.c.w. the ikon, ardent front, ikon rear. Ditto to the Ikon, firmer than, say, a schwalbe and excellent performance at very low pressure. The studs on the rim give just the grip in bends that you miss with the ikon, but don't need at the back.

Fine fast tyre with plenty of grip
Bought this tyre because on my new bike there were 2 Maxxis Forekaster tyres. I got a lot of grip with those but for here in the Netherlands they were a bit on the coarse side. I therefore bought the Maxxis Ardent as a rear tyre. Still enough grip during this wet weather, but still a bit faster than the Forekaster. When the weather gets nicer, I will move this tyre to the front and put the Maxxis Ikon on the back. That way, for the dry months, I still have sufficient grip at the front and a nice, fast tyre at the back.

Excellent rubber!
Excellent xc tyre for rough terrain and in general for the winter season. Also to be used for the good season as it does not affect smoothness! Exceptional grip on the ground. Use at the front or both front and rear for maximum safety at all times. I recommend a 2.35 for those who mainly have a hardtail for maximum comfort. Smoothness does not depend on the width of the tyre but on the type of tread block.

Excellent XC tyre for the winter period
Excellent grip even on muddy and slippery surfaces. Highly recommended

Fijne band die vertrouwen geeft
Ardent race 2.35 gecombineerd met IKON 2.25 is mooie allround combinatie voor gans het jaar. Perfect voor de Ardennenmarathons.

Super exactly what I expected
Super, exactly what I was looking for, effective in corners, for the front.

Super fine tyre
This Ardent tyre gives confidence with fine control, grip and good steering behaviour. Roll resistance is fine I don't notice any difference from the IKON. In extreme mud it is a challenge but more grip as my IKON behind. On the road to the forest it does make a little bit more noise but should not have a name. Also remains very good tension so TR very definitely does idiotically difficult to get off and on with fur trager rims.

Fantastic mix between speed, grip and toughness!
I use this tyre on my Trail/AM bike in NL and BE. Light, low rolling resistance and still strong enough for small jumps, stones and roots.... Has only let me down once so far, but that was during bikepark laps. So now I have another tyre for that;) Ardent race 2.35 rear, ardent 2.4 front, great combo!

Great Sumer Tyre
Summer tyre that can handle a bit of wet trails as well. Rides well over roots and rocks and quite tough.

Best all round tyre ever!
Have been using Maxxis tyres for 6 years with only 1 puncture. These sit perfectly between the Ikon & Beaver for racing and is used more than either one in all conditions.
