The body of my Giant SLR 64mm were getting a little thin and the ring/cable was no longer connecting the ratchet/spring properly. Was hesitating to buy a new cable but this hub costs relatively little money and everything is new again. Am very happy with it and fits perfectly.

This is my second purchase of this item. Unfortunately despite the quality of the manufacturing from DT Swiss, aluminium is soft so you have to expect bite. What can help is to apply the right torque to the lock ring once the sprockets are pushed forward tight. If there was a bite guard it would help.

As the body of my R23 set was worn in, I ordered this body. Installation is easy and can be done without tools, which remains nice with DT Swiss. Of course, you do need the tools for removing the cassette.

Ordered this body to convert my MTB wheelset with DT Swiss 350 hub, which was fitted with an XD body, to a Shimano body. My 10sp SunRace cassette fits exactly on this Shimano body, without any shims ! Maybe easy to know, the width to mount the cassette is 35mm on the body. You do need to order the right end cap, as the XD end cap does not close completely on a Shimano body. For my boost hub, I ordered DT Swiss 12x142mm HWGXXX0003525S Adapter, which fits perfectly.

I fitted the freehub several weeks ago and i have been out cycling in the mud and rain most days. Still early days but it has been performing well with no issues to date.

Really easy to identify the right part from good description and pictures. Price was the best anywhere online too, and delivered quickly. This is standard equipment on my Giant Propel Advance II 2017, but wasn’t well marked in their specification.

My only grip is I wish that it came with the end cap as well, trying to source one separately proved to be difficult.

Needed a new freehub due to my own fault (poor maintenance) as grit, dirt and water got into the bearings. Mantel was the only retailer who stocked this part and it’s an easy and direct replacement, really great price too.

I put the free hub body on the bike and the pawl broke in half i had to use one off the old free hub i was mortified

Needed to replace the one on a Giant SLR wheel. Really good price and speedy delivery even in the lockdown.
