Used this brake cleaner twice. After the first time, the braking power was gone and the brake pads ran out. Thought this can happen. So put new pads on the bike. Some time later I cleaned everything again, guess what? Again the brake force was gone and the pads were finished. Worthless stuff this.

Works very well if you use it pure on the chain and cassette and let it soak in for a while. Dilutes also effectively however the stubborn dirt you then have to scrub more for if you want to remove it so you soon use the spray a second or third time.

I bought these after a touring Cyclon. It was shown to me there. And indeed quite a lot of dirt came off the brake disc after I sprayed this on it. So it really does work well. Whether I can do without it, I'll never know. However, this brake cleaner spray works quite nicely and all the extra dirt that comes off the brakes is a bonus. Cyclon cleaners all work fine and this is no exception. Only drawbacks are that the instructions are only small on the bottle; a slightly more comprehensive explanation on a separate piece of paper would be nice. Also, it is recommended to use this with a clean, non-fluffy cloth. It would be nice if I could order those directly with it.

Bought this to help sort out a problem with a sticking disc brake cylinder. It worked fine and enabled me to do a proper clean of brake discs and rotor at the same time - recommended

Not yet experienced the added value of this Cyclon product in practice. Based on my experience, the Cyclon Bionet degreaser works just as well. Moreover, Bionet is biodegradable and less aggressive, so less risk of frame corrosion.
