Once it's on, it's really fun.

- Jens, 31 October, 2023

As many have already mentioned, the tyre is difficult to mount, but ! With the right technique, it can be mounted without any tools, unlike other tyres. I ride it with a tube, so I can't say anything about tubeless...

Fantastic in the mud

- Marco, 5 March, 2022

Very good grip in mud, they give very again confidence when you ride out mud puddles. Grifos slip quickly then, but these tyres give you a lot of control. Amazingly fast on asphalt because of the central studs, but they don't feel confident on paved roads, especially in corners. Open Grifos feel much safer in most conditions. So on a set of spare rims for those rides when you really need them. Initial fitting is really a drama with Challenge, they live up to their name. But after breaking them in, they are often easy to change.

Pros & Cons

Amazingly fast on asphalt
Great grip in mud
Tanwalls
Extremely difficult to fit
Little grip on paved roads

Perfect autumn tyre for cyclocross races

- Daniel, 13 January, 2022

This tyre is ideal if you prefer not to race tubes on mud. Perfect cornering and speed on the flat are assets !

Fast tyre for muddy undergrounds
Top tyre !
Slightly more difficult to fix

Fast, decent grip, and look good too!

- Donut Boy, 21 September, 2021

Tyres performed great in the first CX of the year. To get them on I heated then to 60c for ten minutes in the oven first which made them go over the rim easier. Also fitted them with a butyl tube first and left them inflated for 24 hours. Fitting a talc'd latex tube after that was easy.

Pros & Cons

Best with latex tubes
Great grip
Supple
Can be difficult to fit

A very good all-round tyre that performs excellently in mud but also offers low rolling resistance

- Jorick, 30 January, 2021

Very good tyre, definitely recommended. The tyre has very good grip in the mud but also little rolling resistance on asphalt, the yellow edges are also very nice, but do clean them immediately after use otherwise they will stain

Pros & Cons

Grip
Rolling resistance

Zeer goeie band. Moeilijk te monteren.

- Sam, 23 November, 2020

Ideaal voor modder. Nat gras. Boswegeltjes. Enkel de montage is geen sinecure. Veel geduld en stevige vingers vereist!

Ideal for wet conditions

- Jérôme, 22 October, 2020

Perfect for wet conditions with good performance. The cotton sidewall makes it easy to lower the pressure. No punctures except by pinching when going too low.

Pros & Cons

Hook
Low-pressure driving
Sidewalls don't age well
