Fantastic piece of kit

- JAMIE, 21 March, 2017

This rear light does exactly what ytou expect it to do. Very easy to operate and charge up with a standard USB charger. The rubber holder wraps around and clips very easily but it does appear to me that it could come unclipped if it were to get caught or if you ride on rough ground ? I am still to try this but very wary. The clip version looks more sturdy so will probably use this ongoing. Otherwise brilliant.

Pros & Cons

button for day/night easy to select
rubber clip appears to be maybe a weaklink?

Does a brilliant job

- Sonia, 13 October, 2016

This is a really great tail light for daytime visibility (it also includes nice night modes also, but I used it mostly during the day). It is visible from very far away and greatly improves your safety while riding in the road. This light is so impressive that other cyclists I pass by on the road have come to me to ask about it. You may find that lights from other manufacturers offer similar lumen output, but that is not the all story -- you have to consider the light optics and the angle. Many have poor optics (wasting light energy) and point to the ground when attached to the seat post. The Brontrager Flare R has excellent optics and is angled horizontally for maximum visibility.

Pros & Cons

Excellent daytime visibility
Horizontal beam
Light weight
Practical USB recharging
Useful light modes
