The tip broke after two uses. Luckily there is a spare tip. Unfortunately, one of the brackets to rest your chain got bend as well after one use. Maybe I used it wrongly, but it should not break this easily. To end on a positive note, even though several parts broke pretty easily, the tool still works to shorten the chain (but I can not lengthen a chain anymore, because of a misalignment caused by the bent plate).

Unfortunately, this chain punch disappointed me a bit. Apart from being a handy tool to keep your chain together, it is, in my opinion, a poor quality product. Due to its very small size, it is somewhat difficult to apply force, but you will eventually get through. However, after using it once already, the punch was bent, making it practically unusable.

Replacing the chain for the first time with this tool and mantels own how-to. The ze chain punch works fine once you get the hang of it, because you really shouldn't rely on the instructions. It is so unclear that it is better to throw it away immediately. Very nice that it comes with an iron hook, which you can immediately use as a chain tool. The iron cap is also handy, you use it to break off the pin (which is not mentioned in the user manual, for instance).

Now used once, works excellent. Quite a lot of force is needed with such a small handle. Chain falls nicely into place in this device.
