Description

Description

The Northwave Raptor GTX MTB shoes are suitable for mountain biking in winter and during cold spring and autumn days due to different aspects and high quality features.

The Gore-Tex and the thermal coating retain heat
The use of Gore-Tex and the thermal coating means your feet are fully protected in temperatures as low as -3°C. This to ensure your feet stay comfortably warm and making it possible to run training sessions of over 2 hours outdoors when cold and wet out. You immediately notice the tight high sock when putting on the shoe. This is a bit tricky when putting on the shoes the first few times but it does make sure that no water or cold can get into your shoe from above. This offers optimal insulation. Always make sure that your pants overlap the shoe and that you don't put them in your sock. It would be a shame if water still enters your waterproof Northwave Raptor GTX winter shoe through your pants.

The Jaws Carbon Reinforced sole is both stiff and comfortable
The sole used by Northwave is the Jaws Carbon Reinforced sole that has been injected with carbon. This makes it stiff without sacrificing comfort. The average stiffness ensures that your exertions are converted into speed more effectively. Thanks to the 360° of reflective elements, the Northwave Raptor GTX makes you even more visible in dark conditions.

Detailed description size in cm
To help you as best we can in choosing the right shoe size, we measured all shoes ourselves. All you have to do now is measure your own foot length and we will indicate which shoe size fits you best per brand. You can easily measure your foot by placing an A4 sheet on the floor against the wall. Stand with your foot on the paper with your heel against the wall. Draw a line next to your big toe (or the toe next to it if it's longer). Mark your other foot on the paper as well and then continue with the largest foot. Now measure this distance and you have your foot length in cm's! Please note: some suppliers have their own measurement system, which means that what is on the shoe box may differ from what we have measured.

The shoe size you need may vary per brand. This is because certain brands have a smaller or larger last. In addition, we have divided the shoes into narrow / medium / wide. Read all about this on our blog!
