What devices can I connect with the HRM-Dual?
You can connect the HRM-Dual to all Garmin bike electronics that display your heart rate. These include the Garmin Edge bike computers and most Garmin sports watches. Other sports electronics that display heart rate can also be connected, as long as they use Bluetooth or ANT+. That means you can pair the HRM-Dual with sports watches and bike trainers from other brands and with Android/iOS smartphones.

Is it possible to connect the HRM-Dual with more than one device at the same time?
You can connect HRM-Dual with 2 devices at the same time with the different connection options, i.e. ANT+ and Bluetooth.

Can I use the HRM-Dual heart rate sensor on its own?
This heart rate sensor is meant to be paired with another device, such as a Garmin Edge bike computer or a Garmin fitness watch. You will not be able to connect this heart rate monitor to the Garmin Connect app and use it as such. There is, however, a way to use the heart rate meter without a Garmin bike computer or Garmin sports watch: you can connect the heart rate monitor via bluetooth to your phone and use an app like Strava to store your data.

I have the impression that the data is incorrect. What can I do about this?
For correct data, it is important that you wear the heart rate monitor properly.
• Make sure the electrodes are moist
• Make sure the band is snug around your chest
• Rinse the strap after each use
• Wash the belt regularly (bout every 7th use)
• Do not dry the belt in the dryer
• If you do not use the band for a long time, the battery may run out
• Synthetic materials can generate static electricity that can affect heart signals
