Description
The Fizik Antares R3 has been designed with the so-called Chameleons in mind. According to Fizik, the Chameleon is a rider with a fairly flexible spine. The Antares saddle is a mix of the Arione and Aliante when it comes to the shape. The saddle offers great support in every possible position. The Chameleon bars have the same shallow drops as the Bull version, but the reach of the Snake bars. The Fizik Antares R3 is a lightweight and rigid saddle. This is because of the Carbon Kevlar thermoplastic composite shell, Wing Flex technology, and K:ium rails.
Saddle shape
This saddle has a semi-round rear part which makes it perfect for those who move around a little with their hips while riding. A semi-round saddle provides ample support while also offering enough freedom to move around, and more so than a flat saddle.
Flexibility
This is a semi-round saddle, which means it's flat at the front and raised slightly in the rear. The shape makes it suitable for people with a fairly flexible spine. This has to do with the rotation of your pelvis. For instance, when you're upright you might need a little extra support, but when rotating forward to ride on the drops you're fine.
Technology
K:ium RailThe K:ium Rails are made using an aluminium alloy and ensure a secure connection between saddle rails and the seat post.
Wing Flex Technology
By adding a slight amount of flex to the side panels of the saddle, Fizik has increased the comfort significantly. The Wing Flex technology creates a little extra space for your legs, allowing you to put out more power with more ease.
ICS: Integrated Clip System
You can attach a FiZik Saddle Bag or Light to the rear of the saddle with the integrated clip system (saddle bag/light not included).

My best investment. Thanks to this saddle, I'm living again, no more pain. A good saddle is essential. The Fizik Antares R3 is a bit stiff but comfortable. Once it's properly positioned, the shape suits me perfectly. The coating prevents slipping. What's more, it's very light. Special mention for the site's search help, which makes it easy to find your way through the jungle of saddles and narrow down your choice perfectly. Mantel's order processing and delivery are top-notch.

Can't give a good opinion
Have ordered 2x this saddle in width 152mm, Unfortunately I have received 2x the wrong saddle. The saddle shown is the narrow version the wide version is all black. This saddle did sit on and felt good but had a lot of pain in my sit bones. This was due to saddle width, hopefully Mantel will replace the picture for the correct saddle. I will definitely try the correct saddle again then. Mantel does have great service and handling is super. Added a picture this is the wide version! 5 stars given as I do think the Fizik saddle is a good product having tried several saddles of this brand.
