The Etixx Energy Gel with Maracuja Ginseng and Guarana is a triple action energy gel. The carbohydrates in this gel come from the Triple Action Effect sugar mixture, complemented with a citrates blend. This unique and ideal sugar mixture consists of high-speed sugars (glucose and maltose), semi-slow sugars (sucrose) and slow sugars (compex sugars). Because these sugar chains differ in length, they are absorbed by the body at different rates. Thus, they give you a quick energy boost while also releasing energy over a longer period of time. Moreover, when glucose and fructose are consumed together, more carbohydrates can enter the bloodstream simultaneously than when only glucose or only fructose is consumed. One Etixx Energy gel (50 ml) contains 30 grams of carbohydrates.

Preferred use: Etixx Ginseng & Guarana Energy Gel is suitable for all athletes who need a quick fuel replenishment during prolonged efforts. Cyclists, triathletes, marathon runners etc. best use this gel immediately before or during their endurance efforts. Thanks to the added caffeine from the guarana berry, this product is particularly suitable for situations when you can use an extra boost, e.g. during a climb or final sprint. Team athletes may also benefit from it during rest.

Recommended dosage: Depleting carbohydrate stores during exercise is one of the main causes of fatigue. Carbohydrate supplementation before and during the effort can improve the (cycling) performance. If the effort lasts longer than 90 minutes, it is recommended to consume extra carbohydrates. It is recommended to consume approximately 1 to 2 energy gels per hour. Or, consume energy gels in combination with other sports nutrition products until an intake of 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour is reached. A common strategy is to consume energy gels during the more intense phases of exercise. The digestion process of energy gels requires less blood flow compared to other sports nutrition products.
