Description

Description

The Challenge Cross Limus TLR tyre provides a lot of grip on muddy terrain. The tread is equipped with an open profile with large-sized studs. This provides the tyre with a relatively high rolling resistance on hard surfaces. That's why the Cross Limus is the ideal choice on muddy terrain.

To reduce the likelihood of punctures, the tyre is equipped with an anti puncture strip. This reduces the chance of the tyre getting punctured by sharp rocks, gravel, or twigs. The suppel 300 TPI carcass ensures you'll retain your grip. The Challenge Cross Limus is an ideal choice for the mud devils among cyclocross riders.

Good band, but doubts about whether Italian craftsmanship is all in line

- Jeroen 13 January 2023

Good in corners, can take more risk than grifo. Roll resistance also fine on the road

Pros & Cons

Good grip in mud
Tires appear to have a bump or strike

Disappointed by the after-sales service of this site which takes its customers for incompetents.

- Benjamin 7 December 2022

After several correspondences with the after-sales service about the impossibility of mounting the tire on my rim, the latter advised me to have my tire mounted by a bicycle mechanic. As he couldn't do it, I decided to buy the bbb clamp also recommended by the after-sales service. When I tried to mount the tire with the clamp, I literally bent my rim. I can't wait to hear back from the experts at the Mantel site, who will surely tell me once again that I don't know how to mount a tire after 17 years on the bike.

Pros & Cons

Well finished, too bad it's badly cut
A dt swiss hs hub rim
Impossible to mount on my rim

5 / 5

Very satisfied with the seller's service and the equipment.

- Cedric 6 December 2022

Smooth operation. Tires perform very well on muddy ground, easy to mount in tubless. Only problem in the field: on the second outing, didn't withstand a large flint that nicked the sidewall of the rear tire (but no tire would have withstood it). So I recommended the same one.

Pros & Cons

Availability
Fast delivery
Very grippy tires on muddy terrain
Fragile sidewall

Meets expectations

- DIDIER 18 November 2022

For cyclo-cross use in wet conditions. Excellent grip

Pros & Cons

Exceptional grip
A little difficult to install

4 / 5

Nice that this specialty cyclocross tire comes in a tubeless version.

- Ch 20 October 2022

Fitted tubeless without any problems. Falls wide, on a 23 mm tubeless rim I measure 37 mm tire width. Which is fine for me, but should you be bothered by UCI rules then...maybe use a narrower rim.

Pros & Cons

Specialized tread for rough mud
Tubeless compatible
Less suitable as an all-rounder
