The Castelli Competizione 2 is a competitive cycling glove that offers excellent grip and the right amount of padding. With its striking graphic prints, it is very much the opposite of the clean glove.
The Castelli Competizione 2 has a synthetic palm with medium-density foam padding. Medium-density means that the total cushioning capacity is on the low side, and it is better not to wear them when you're going to brave very rough roads. That being said, less padding does increase the amount of grip. And the silicone pattern on the palm also improves the glove's grip. To offer good protection for the median nerve, the Castelli Damping System (CDS) has been applied, which helps prevent numbness in your hands.
The back of this cycling glove is made of sublimated 4-way stretch fabric. This material stretches well and fits snugly on your hand. The wrist closure is also stretchy and has no seams. Thus, putting the glove on and taking it off is easy, plus the glove fits well around your wrists.
