Description
Description
The Campagnolo Record 12-speed groupset is not only a feast for the eyes, it also feels truly great and shifts and brakes superbly. The Campagnolo Record 12-speed parts are ergonomically shaped, mechanically optimised in every detail, and aesthetically designed to be the most beautiful groupset currently available. With this groupset, your road bike looks even more attractive, weighs even less and performs even better!
Fits regular Campa freehub bodies
Since the sprockets are thinner and are placed more closely to one another, a 12-speed Campagnolo cassette is just as wide as an 11-speed Campagnolo cassette. This means no new Campa freehub bodies need to be made, and the cassette fits an 11-speed freehub.
Less derailleur rattle, works with an 11/34 cassette!
The rear derailleur now has a larger range and can be used with a cassette up to 11/34. This allows for even lighter pedalling and for climbing almost any mountain! Also, for the rear derailleur Campagnolo's 3D Embrace technology has been applied to ensure the derailleur is even better aligned under the cassette, giving you faster shifting action and less chain chatter. As only one type of rear derailleur is available in this groupset, there is no longer a long or short cage.
The front derailleur has also been improved and shifts with even more speed and responsiveness now. It is positioned in such a way that there is clearance for wider tyres, provided that your bike frame can also accommodate those.
New crankset and even more powerful brakes
The carbon crankset of this Record groupset has been completely redesigned for improved aerodynamics. The carbon also makes the crank stiffer and lighter.
The brakes also have an aerodynamic shape and allow for tyres up to 28 mm. They are a bit more powerful and lightweight than those that came with the 11-speed groupset.
Controls
The gear levers have larger thumb adjusters, which makes them easier to operate by people with smaller hands. The Ultra-Shift technology allows for up- and downshifting by several sprockets at a time.
This ensures that the derailleur is always exactly vertical under the sprockets, and also takes into account the angle to the front derailleur for the best chain line.
Ultra-Shift
The Ultra-Shift system allows for upshifting up to 3 sprockets or downshifting up to 5 sprockets at a time.
