The Born Bitesize bar is a tasty and crunchy energy bar. The Born Bitesize owes its name to its compact size. With only 25 grams per bar, the Bitesize is very easy to consume quickly while on the road. This way the Bitesize provides you with plenty of energy for the upcoming kilometres, and the energy bar is also easy to chow down when the ride is a bit more intensive.

The Born Bitesize energy bars are made of a mixture of single and complex carbohydrates. The combination of different types of carbohydrates results in a gradual release of energy over a longer period of time. That is why the Born Bitesize is ideal for postponing the hunger knock.

1 energy bar contains 18 to 20 grams of carbohydrates.

Technology

Recommended use: Ideal for pre-consumption to maximise carbohydrate stock, or during the early stages of an important workout or competition.

Recommended dosage: The depletion of the carbohydrate supply during exercise is one of the main causes of fatigue. Carbohydrate replenishment before and during exercise can improve (cycling) performance. If the effort lasts longer than 90 minutes, it is recommended to consume extra carbohydrates. It is recommended to consume approximately 1 to 3 energy bars per hour. Or consume energy bars in combination with other sports nutrition products until an intake of 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour is reached. A common strategy is to consume energy bars during the more intensive phases of exercise. The digestion process of energy bars requires less blood flow compared to other sports nutrition products.
