Description
Description
The Shimano Deore M6100 groupset has almost all the technology that you find in the higher end as well. It shifts flawlessly, the components have excellent durability and the price-performance ratio is very high. That makes this groupset an excellent choice for your mtb!
Smooth shifting, no chain chatter
The Shimano Deore M6100 12-speed cassette has the same Hyperglide+ design as higher-end cassettes. This allows you to shift very smoothly, even in challenging conditions. On top of that, the chain on this cassette runs very quietly, so that in the woods you only hear the hum of your tires. The Shimano Deore M6100 12-Speed rear derailleur is equipped with a chain stabiliser. This means that shocks and vibrations are absorbed, reducing the chatter of your chain on rough terrain. This also virtually eliminates unwanted gear shifting!
Shifter shifts quickly and is easy to install
The Shimano Deore 12-Speed Shifter uses I-Spec EV. This allows you to mount the shifter to the brake lever the way you want. The Rapidfire+ technology makes shifting extra fast and smooth. So you can change gears quickly when the trail demands it!
Solid crank on which the chain stays putt
The Shimano Deore M6100 12-Speed crank is very strong and solid. The teeth on the chainring have been given a narrow-wide design, which is called Dynamic Chain Engagement at Shimano. Thanks to this design, the chain stays well on the chain ring and does not bounce off on rough terrain. Chainring mounting is the same as on the Shimano XT M8100 and SLX M7100 cranksets.
Fast and powerful braking
The Shimano Deore M6100 hydraulic disc brakes are powerful, responsive and adjustable to your liking. You only need to squeeze these brakes slightly to experience their high braking power. In addition, the brakes have excellent modularity, allowing you to tune the braking force to the trail. On top of their excellent stopping power, the adjustment range of the brake lever is adjustable to your liking. Mountain bikers with smaller hands can move the lever closer to the handlebars, further improving cycling comfort and safety.
Shimano MicroSpline Body
The Shimano Deore M6100 Cassette must be mounted on a Shimano Microspline body. This body is designed to mount 12-Speed cassettes with a '10' as the smallest sprocket. Thanks to this '10' the cassette has an even greater range, so you can still keep pedaling at high speeds. For many wheels, only the body needs to be replaced. You can find these loose bodies here.
You can also choose to replace your wheels, as there are no MicroSpline Bodies for some wheels. Wheels with a Shimano MicroSpline body can be found here.
